Looking for a camera to ride with on my back and trying to look past the Fuji lineup. A PEN would be pretty amazing and it seems a new rumor on YouTube every other week.
Seems like a new Pen might be an upgrade to the Pen EP7, which wasn’t available in the US. Or one of the earlier Pen lifestyle bodies. The OM-3 is more likely the the Pen-F replacement.
But what do I know, just guessing.
They claim they plan to keep PEN around, though talk is cheap. Have you looked at the new Lumix L10? Seems like it might be up your alley for that use case.
The Lumix is actually a great idea given I won't be affording a Leica any time soon. I should see if I can find one to try. Occasionally I take my work body out but I am not a huge fan of an r5ii bouncing on my back.
I still don't understand why they haven't made the PEN available in USA.
The OM-5 Mkll is a very compact, lightweight body with a lot of 'bells and whistles'. A friend of mine just bought the 'Sand Beige' body version and it actually looks pretty cool. He's pretty happy with the size and performance.
Just a consideration.
