Honestly, I purchased this camera last week, backordered from b&h and find it ridiculous that the camera didn't come with a dedicated charger. You'd think that after paying such a high premium from a high end point and shooter, that they would include one. Also, is it just me or is this camera just not as hyped as it is currently? I'd rather shoot with my a7iv setup and not have to bother with all the film sims and recipes. That being said, if anyone's interested, I'll be posting mine up for sale shortly here in the next few days. Brand new U.S. model with less than 100 shots, with purchase receipt included. Will link the thread here as well once it's posted.
1) Thank the EU for no chargers, it's part of their e-waste initiatives
2) Return it to B&H no questions asked for 30 days, obviously.

Lack of charger as standard makes sense, if you buy more than one body which takes the same battery you end up with unused ones. Latest cameras have USB charging in camera anyvway.

OmG - you did not do any prior research? You can shoot with the x100 w/o bothering with film sims and recipes at all! I am not a fan of the X100VI - but your arguments here are ridiculous.

Why this confrontation? The hype about the X100VI may be annoying, but it doesn't make it any worse as a camera. The hype also doesn't stop you from using the Fuji alongside the Sony when you want a more compact camera alongside your ILC.
Note! The X100VI hype is no exception. Similarly, the X100V and other previous X100 versions were hyped at the time. I currently have the X100V and use it quite a bit. Fuji has succeeded in the concept of the X100 cameras excellently. The right combination of a practical camera, style and playfulness.
BTW X100VI being on backorder in US is strange. Or is this shortage a marketing strategy? In Europe X100V is as available as any other camera.

First, about chargers: All manufacturers of electronic devices (not just cameras) are moving away from selling you a new charger with every new device. Most people end up with drawers full of old, unused duplicate charger adapters. The same holds true with battery chargers. Some of us who aren’t buying out first Fujifilm camera already have chargers lying around, and we’d rather not have another one with each new product. (You imagine that they used to be “free,” but more accurately it was “included in the cost” and factored into the overall list price.)
Fortunately, a range of adapters and chargers are widely available, ranging from higher-cost OEM units to discounted units that also often work quite well.
Frankly, I’m a big fan of the move to using USB-C based charging for essentially ALL devices. It sure makes things a lot easier for me, especially when traveling. A decade ago I had to carry power international power adapters, a slew of device-specific chargers with incompatible connectors, separate battery chargers for cameras and regular batteries. Today? I carry on mini wall unit that has built-in international plug options and puts out USB-C and USB-B and has a North America plug pass-through. It is smaller than a pack of cigarettes.
As to hype: That’s an issue with all kinds f products. It isn’t limited to electronics, much less to cameras or Fujifilm. There was a huge amount of hype around the X100vi when it came out — at a level that many of us thought was completely over the top. Much of it was driven by the influencer crowd and an overlapping group of reviewers who benefit financially both from larger audiences for their work and from affiliate fees from sales.
There’s nothing wrong with that, but buyers need to become a whole lot smarter about what breathless reviews of new products may or may not mean.
I think that the X100vi is actually a very nice camera.. but that it is not the best option for a lot of people who placed more weight on the hype than on a careful understanding fo the camera and its limits. A camera with a single focal length wide angle fixed lens is not right for a whole lot of people, and the film sims thing was (and still is) hyped well beyond it real world value. (A few people like the sims a lot, but a whole lot of people don’t find that nearly so compelling.)

So you got duped by the hype, drank the KoolAide, didn't do your research, bought a good camera that doesn't suit you and doesn't come with a charger. Why join the Forum just to tell us about your misgivings for your misinformed purchase?

Also, B & H website listing overview specifically mentions charging is done with an included cable.
I don't think I've ever used a dedicated charger in my ~25 years of photography. I mean, I plug the USB cable in to transfer the images to my computer anyway, so then I just leave it there and the battery will charge.
And no, I haven't broken a single USB port in all those years either. Don't understand why I would bother with a card reader.

USB charging is fairly recent, Xpro2 doesn't have if, neither does my old Nikon

There are times when I need to charge 3 batteries over night…hard to do with just a camera. I come back with 5 or more cards of images from a trip. Using my built in reader in my Mac Studio allows me to transfer the images much quicker than using my camera.

Each of the cards in my cameras holds over a 1000 pairs of raw+fine. So you've saved a couple of minutes downloading, what on earth do you do with thousands of images. Bizarre.
Battery charging is the least of your problems.
I have a two battery charger for my XT5. So I could charge all three of my batteries at the same time — two in the charger and one in the camera.
The number of times I’ve had to to do that: 0
Obviously, if you are shooting enough frames in a day you may well have to charge multiple batteries at night and you’ll want an external charger. (A multi-battery charger can also be convenient if your batteries have sat for a while and you want to top them up before heading out.)
It is a pretty rare day when I do more than 400 frames with my XT5, (I can imagine situations where others might do that.) I no longer bring the external charger when I travel. I do bring one extra battery, but I can’t remember the last time I needed to use it.
I’ll add that, within limits, charging speed may or may not be a real issue. I guess that if you are firing off shots on battery #2 and you need to get battery #1 up to speed before #2 dies that it matters. But if you are mostly recharging after a shoot and/or overnight… speed is not an issue.

I’m fine with chargers no longer being included with a camera and actually dislike having to carry a charger with some of my older cameras. But there are indeed times when I’ve shot so much that I’m happy I have a dual charger for my OM System batteries so I can be fully loaded up again without any issues.
Depends on the camera/battery. It's way faster to charge my Z9 batteries in the actual cradle than over USB. Hasselblad has a really nice little dual charger that I prefer over USB.

I travel for a couple months each year. During those travels I can easily shoot thousands of images spanning many cards. What exactly do you see so bizarre with this?
And why do you feel battery charging is the least of my problems. I’ve travelled to countries where electricity is off more than on. I always carry 3 batteries for times when I don’t have the luxury of recharging my battery. I always leave my charger plugged in with a battery hoping the power comes on when I’m out so the spare gets charged.
Yes, if I shoot at the local park…then things are simple…but I don’t always shoot at the local park.
