Ok, did my best to get some comparisons of the A7CR+40G against the Q3 43. These were all shot at F2.5, ISO100, matching SS, WB set to 5500K. Imported all into Lightroom with the Adobe Default profile, then export at 4K to make file sizes more manageable. I'll provide a link to the RAW files here shortly for those that prefer that.
The Q3 43 images are the first ones of each pair, then the A7CR. Sorry for not more color options, I live in high desert Central Oregon so all we have is dull brown and dull green right now

The Sony definitely pops the yellows a lot more, but other colors aren;t as drastic and even more close together. Yellow is just the only color I could find today .
I’ll try and get an example of better specular highlights too, that’s probably the best differentiator between the two. Though still closer than you might think.

If you can, take a picture of a car or large object from some reasonable distance with subject separation and background bleh. I found the Q3 43mm to excel at mid-distance photography for people where you have some real subject separation pop. I'm not sure the flowers and plants comparison is representative of the differences between these two lenses.
