Hi everyone,
I wanted to open a discussion and get your thoughts. The current name, "Film Is Not Dead" was meant to be positive and a little "tongue-in-cheek", highlighting that film is very much alive. That said, some feel that using the word "dead" isn't very uplifting, even though the intent is the opposite.
So here's the question: should we keep the name, or consider changing it to something more positive?
Please vote and feel free to share any other ideas you might have. Personally, I like "Film Is Not Dead", but I also like "Film Forever", which is my vote..

No!!! Keep the name! I never went digital and have been a film user forever. If the digital users want to drop in occasionally and post a few pictures, that’s fine but the real film users know “Film’s Not Dead!”

I like the current name, but you could open a contest like the Minnesota snow plows.
E.g.
-Sonnar lens-a-lot or
-Grain Champion or
-Film: Onward through the fog

Being on the side of the spectrum on politics and social issues that usually gets me called "bleeding heart" and "snowflake" and "don't read so much into things it's just a joke" and all of that, it's not often that I get to be the one to say "man, sometimes you have to try to just have a sense of humor about things that aren't that serious", but I guess today's my day to shine!!
(But if we do change the name, I say don't try to be cute or fun. Just make it matter-of-fact like all the other sub-forums. Just "Film Photography" or "Film & Film Cameras". Really drive home that whoever asked for the change hates fun.)
