I have Billingham Hadley Digital. It is just perfect size for the camera, and there is still space left for personal items such as phone, wallet etc.

https://billingham.co.uk/collections/camera-bags/products/hadley-digital-camera-bag?_pos=2&_fid=34b4a9c9b&_ss=c

Personally I like Billingham bags. They are timeless desigs, protect gear and just get better after years of use.

My initial feeling is that GFX100RF would be an close to perfect camera in its genre if it had a IBIS. I missed the IBIS in a dark room and it would also be good for landscape photography, which this camera is well suited for. ND filter would be more useful with IBIS. Omitting the IBIS is something Fuji will surely fix in the GFX100RFs model

GFX100RF is big and heavy enough to convey a sense of quality. Grip is okay, camera responds quickly and both the EVF and LCD are very good. Focusing is fast an reliable enough, although its user interface is a bit of a pain for someone who mostly uses Sony. There are almost too many function buttons around the camera. At first, it felt like the settings changed every time I picked up it, but fortunately, the buttons can be easily customized.

The camera strap, which many have praised, is high quality but unnecessarily stiff. It takes up a lot of space in the camera bag. I'm using the strap for now, but might change to something else later.

Positive feelings after a few days. GFX100RF works well for its specific purpose and is very photocentric in this time of hybrid cameras. Time will tell if it's too niche a camera, though. You can't shoot portraits with this, and for street photography MF-sized sensor might be a bit overkill. I am also afraid that GFX100RF be of little use during the Nordic dark due to the lack of IBIS.

Nothing like an answer to a question that wasn’t asked, but I think relevant to many. First, I have a forty year old Bellingham canvas photo bag that looks almost as good as the day I got it. I used it for many years but I eventually tired of the routine needed to open and close it.

I probably have a dozen bags that are relevant to your question, but my wife and I are about to hop on a plane and head over to Asia. Below I have posted an image of the bags that serve as our below the seat purses. The smaller of the the two bags is a present for my wife and will carry an A7CR with lens, rain gear for bag and wife, wallet and water bottle. It also will carry at 10” iPad. The larger bag is for my medium format camera and a lens, or two, larger iPad as well as the above. These sling bags are easy to move to the front and remove the camera and they are great when a monsoon hits. Both will optionally attach around the waist in addition and simultaneously with the bags slung over the shoulder. So, smaller bag great for traveling with your camera, but not the absolute smallest.

Billingham 72.
Even though it fits snugly, it’s easy to remove and put in the bag.
Get the sp10 shoulder pad too.

I have the Hadley digital too that I use either with my X-H2S with the 16-55 2.8 (perfect fit) or the A9III with the 35mm 1.4 GM.
But it’s a little too large for the GFX100RF.

Smallrig just shipped my half case and the L bracket, both of which will make it too large for the Billingham 72. So, the Hadley digital will come in handy.

Like others mentioned, Billingham bags are timeless and quite protective.

I have considered Hadley Digital too small for Sony bodies with EVF on top but it depends how tight one wants to pack it. Anyways GFX100RF is so heavy that it needs more protection than a very light camera as X100V that I carried for years in a bare leather pouch without any padding.

Please tell us your experience when you get the Smallrig L bracket. It looks stylish and practical.

Thanks! Ideally I want a small snug bag and a pouch when I go on work trips so that I can put it in my laptop bag and be done. For the pouch should I consider the Optech USA midsize pro?

Just a reminder that these are follow-up shots to my initial post about experimenting with a medium format camera for street photography. I'm still using in-camera recipes instead of Lightroom (quite unusual for me up to now) and getting comfortable with the system after most recently coming from GR IIIx and A7CR (and Canon/Panasonic before then). Really enjoying the leaf shutter and overall experience, despite being entirely new to Fuji. I think this is in total my third hour in the streets with a Fuji camera.

I usually lean more people/crowds/candids, though these walks feel more like first dates with the camera, very simple and calm, so we can chat and get to know each other

I thought sharing a few quick everyday snaps could help those weighing choices—I added a quick bokeh just to give an idea on how that renders with some obvious film simulation.

Since I received it a couple of days ago, I thought I'd share a few shots I took today. I was able to make a small deviation on the way home to try it out. There's no particular story in these street shots—just experimentation to get familiar with Fuji/this camera.

A few notes:

• Over the past couple of years, I've primarily used the GR IIIx and A7CR.
• These were not developed in Lightroom but used in-camera “recipes” (size was reduced and ImageOptim used to facilitate embedding here). It's very unusual for me to not use Lightroom.
• I am 100% new to

I'm really missing the highlight metering function, it'd be extremely useful such high dynamic range sensor.
And the metering is inconsistent with eye AF with strong background light. It's weird for me I cannot set metering with eye detection. Also I'll play AF tracking options, I don't expect same tracking performance as A7RV, but there are different options for tracking speed.

I found GFX100RF (matrix) meters the images quite hot. This has not been a problem, but there is a difference to other cameras I use.

Typically dof is so wide that I have not bothered to think much about eye-af. If the lens was f/2 I might think differently. Anyway nice to notice that Fujifilm AF is improving.

To me the most important talking point of GFX100RF is the lack of IBIS. This would make such a nice easy to carry landscape/cityscape camera, and the decision Fujifilm made with IBIS is really hurting me. Everything else I find ok, as expected or even excellent.

After some usage I have some takes about the camera:
In short: It's excellent.
Longer version:
It's a dream to me Fuji managed to stuck MF sensor into this small body. You can scroll the critiques, specifications and examinate what is missing compared other cameras, like IBIS, fast aperture. And you can just use (if you can't afford of course, just rent) the camera and experience the shooting, looking the image quality of your shots. You can get this compact, stealthy experience... from an APS-C camera like X100VI, or a pancake lens ILCE. But this sensor has 4 times of an APS-C sensor's surface, and it's small, light. Only you can appreciate the thin camera, small lens, weight center inside the small camera body when use it, it is not in specifications.
Sure a used GFX camera is way better deal when you see only specifications, IQ, the fact you can variate different focal lengths, fast apertures. But it's maybe just me, but MF camera with a huge plain shutter that hammers at every shot is an instant deal breaker. Also I'd never carry a massive MF system camera with a lens (that alone weight almost as this camera), at 80% of time.
I don't intend to convince anyone (including myself) it's a good value device. It's insanely expensive, and I can't recommend to anyone. I only suggest to try it even if you lost in online arguments, IQ comparisons, Youtube content creators opinions.

I largely agree with you, Lukacs—after a few hours of use. Does anyone else in this thread (you or anyone with the camera) have any more quick, early shots they'd like to share?

I'd be interesting to see what other people's early explorations and snaps look like, to pair with their feelings about it.

I have a Flickr album with test shots. Basically a hike at a local park and a visit to a shopping mall before open hours. Not great with subject matter but good testing for resolution and basic operation.

As a standalone body, for me, it requires a bit more focus and intention than I've been accustomed to. Not a deal breaker. But, it carries with other gear so effortlessly that it's very probable that most of its use will be with other gear.

Nice selection of photos matsu. How did the fire truck gauges read out on your original file with 1/160 @ f/9. Did you notice any diffraction setting in or camera shake at 200% or so?

I think all the files looked pretty good at 100%. I don't think I noticed issues with either - I'll check again this evening. But a good point being that both settings are relatively close to producing issues and care should be taken.

Surprise, surprise, I got an email a few hours ago about black 100RF shipped and coming Monday…

History:
I placed the order on the launch day, March 20th, around 12:30 PST.
I lost hope of getting at the initial price, so I called B&H on May 6th to move my store credit from Fuji to buy Plena while it was on sale. However, I told the Rep that I still wanted Fuji.
That resulted in an email from BH canceling my Fuji order and moving funds to get Plena, and then, a few hours later, another email stating that I again placed an order for Fuji at the same price, sans store credit.
So, I thought that placed me at the end of the waiting line, getting it after a solid AC is installed in Hell, so it actually at least partially freezes 🤣, but not; well, go figure.

Native focal Length x 4 is around 1/140, so I wouldn't expect 1/160 to be a worrisome shutter speed, unless I'm being a bit sloppy in technique. Diffraction might be something in the f/11 or f/16 range I'd watch for, but that's a peculiar (although, certainly legit) question about the "other" end of the lens aperture range, considering how much folks have clamored about the f/4 aperture being such an issue of limitation. Strikes me that the question of diffraction will likely be of interest for folks who don't find f/4 limiting (i.e. not the fuzzfest bokeh, must have folks).

My BH black preorder also was unexpectedly fulfilled (first day pre-order, on March 20th, in the AM).

If anyone is on the hunt for the camera, I have the listing in the Buy & Sell, but you can also get in touch via DM to get a mint-condition silver GFX100RF.
