Got this new pupper two days after turning 66. Four days after getting him I had a heart attack and stent placed. 90% blockage on one artery with two others at 70% & 60%
We named him Louie and he has been the best and most affectionate dog we've ever had. These are not the best pics but just wanted to post my buddy who was also free from the local humane society. Take care of your health.
I also thought that sharing what happened to me might benefit someone else.
If you have a heart scan and you get the calcium score do not think that you are golden because you had a good score. From my research I learned that that a score under 100 was good. My score was 73. I also learned that this score, at my age, wouldn't change much going forward.
HOWEVER, no one told me the limitations of the heart scan which is it only measures the calcified stuff. It does not measure soft, goopy crap that clogs the arteries. I have since learned about a CTA scan which would have shown the problem.
