p.1 #1 · My new recovery friend.

Got this new pupper two days after turning 66. Four days after getting him I had a heart attack and stent placed. 90% blockage on one artery with two others at 70% & 60%

We named him Louie and he has been the best and most affectionate dog we've ever had. These are not the best pics but just wanted to post my buddy who was also free from the local humane society. Take care of your health.

Thanks Doug. You are correct about that.
On another note, it's been so long since I've posted that I cannot remember how to show images from Flickr.

Hey, I figured it out!

I also thought that sharing what happened to me might benefit someone else.
If you have a heart scan and you get the calcium score do not think that you are golden because you had a good score. From my research I learned that that a score under 100 was good. My score was 73. I also learned that this score, at my age, wouldn't change much going forward.

HOWEVER, no one told me the limitations of the heart scan which is it only measures the calcified stuff. It does not measure soft, goopy crap that clogs the arteries. I have since learned about a CTA scan which would have shown the problem.

Beautiful handsome "child".
Dog spelled backwards is god! Eyes into the human soul fer sur!

I miss my children every single day. WE cannot have any "children" now because of medical issues.
Again GREAT compositions!

Glad you are well and this problem was caught in time.

Thanks Dan!

And as I said to a guy wearing a 1st Cav patch on his jacket yesterday at the VA - " 1st Cav is best Cav." It turned out that we were both tankers.
