With hopes of getting good deals on NVMe SSDs in upcoming days, I just purchased this Thunderbolt 4 enclosure for $69 - don't forget to clip a $20 coupon to get this price.

I will most likely purchase this OWC enclosure as well since it is on sale for $95 currently.

Maybe not as much a photo related item but since I use it for several hours everyday, I highly recommend getting these noise canceling earbuds. At this price it can be also a great stocking stuffer Apple AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) - $153

For those earlier in the thread talking about Topaz Labs PhotoAI, it is indeed $199 at regular price. What they've done for this BF "sale" is included $200 worth of "cloud credits" which allows you to render their effects with cloud computing instead of your own hardware. The kicker is that cloud computing isn't even available with PhotoAI yet, just "very soon".

I'm one of those who was very interested in PhotoAI and have been watching it at $199 for probably 3 months now, and waited for BF, only to be disappointed. I don't need cloud computing, it's editing photos, it's not strenuous, my computer will be just fine. This is not a sale to me, sadly going to have to pass.

I understand but it looks like that next year you will pay less for the renewal. For me at the moment it shows that the discounted (Black Friday deal) renewal price is only $84. Of course you don’t have to renew but you will be able to use the software. You just won’t get updates to the app.

I use Photo AI and Video AI so the discount on the bundle is actually pretty good in my opinion. If you purchase the bundle, you can renew only a single app next year. No need to upgrade the whole bundle again if you don’t use other apps.

Also, if there are no significant updates, you can skip renewal for a year Been there, done that… Check the second screenshot and the renewal pricing for my account.

According to their website (scroll down) , Cloud rendering supports only Video AI and Gigapixel AI. Support for Photo AI will be announced soon - https://bit.ly/493dHq1 and is actually beneficial for those with older hardware.

Agreed, if I had use of the video software, it would be a pretty decent deal. If I could get that $84 now instead of $199, it'd be a super easy decision.

Thanks for sharing that Kashmir Air link. Your link works but without your link I can't find any mention of the new series on the website. I wonder why they aren't promoting it on the website yet?

I just purchased A1 and am trying to get myself up to speed on new things in the camera, including the Type A cards. Do I really need a Type A card if I don't shoot sports and wildlife? My plan is to see when and if I will hit the limit on my current V90 cards before shelling out the money, but these sales are tempting.

If you're not shooting high frame rates or worried about how long it might take to offload a lot of images then I don't think it's worth it. Unless of course you find them on sale for what v90 cards are going for (which has been the case lately) then why not grab some. I only did it because I have the A9iii and A7RV and shoot wildlife. Coming from Nikon and previously Canon - the cost of the type A cards is hard to swallow compared to what type B are going for.

First thing I love about the Type A cards is the are built pretty strongly with metal and not all plastic. Secondly for me its all about the download speeds to computer as I maybe processing 20k images and load up on Smugmug

Next is buffer and maybe the bird shooters can help here but your going to clear the buffer faster IMHO

For me im just tired of those damn SD cards . I like the Type A cards a whole lot better and they don't get lost on me. The costs have dropped a lot and versus SD cards almost the same so why not get faster cards and look ahead

Clearing the buffer is a major, major difference in my opinion. I did a test with my A9iii and the type A card clears the buffer nearly 5 times faster.

Thats what I figure thx for chiming in. Bottom line as the pricing is fairly close to the SD cards than your crazy not too.

For me its the download speeds at 1500 read writes far better than 300

If you are not planning on shooting at 30fps often and don't mind spending extra few minutes on downloading your data to the computer, there is no need for you buy CFE cards at the moment. Unless, you have old SD cards and are looking to get large capacity cards current deals might be worth taking advantage of as you won't see these prices again for several months.
