Here's a 100% resolution crop for anyone who is interested. First Fuji pixel shift I've done, always hard to judge how much sharpening to do with pixel shift files.
Detail is simply jaw dropping, Tim, thanks as well for including the 100% resolution crop. I haven't been brave or patient enough to try a pixel shift, so for your first piece, I think this is success! The patterns captured are fascinating zooming in, you can even see cracks in the paint as if we are floating up close...wow

I'm not sure about that myself. I use PhotoMechanic to ingest/cull and I believe on Sony there is an EXIF tag that tells you, but you can't see it. The Sony software though does seem to know what is a set. On Fuji, I don't see anything in the Fuji software....but I didn't read the instructions, so maybe there is a way to know though the software.
For these shots, I was exposure bracketing, so that's kind of a dead giveaway. If you take a short break between sets, you might be able to use time. And I've used the hand in front of the lens approach too, sometimes the simple way is the way to go.

Thanks, I learned some idiosyncrasies with the Fuji that I need to kind of research a bit. I tried using the Fuji app on my iPhone, but it seemed to kick me out of pixel shift mode when I use it. And I couldn't see an obvious way to put it in pixel shift mode using the app. (First thing on my list to research). So I tried using the LCD, but when you put it in pixel shift mode, it seems like it forces the more detailed display, which makes it very hard to try to center the camera under the rotunda. So I'd go back to regular shooting mode, try to center it, and then go back into pixel shift mode. But when switching into pixel shift mode, the images seems to shift to the left a bit.
Anyway....don't want to clutter up this thread (which I already have). Maybe I'll start another thread when I try to process another one. I'm not sure the one I posted was taken using the best set...it was more my experimental attempt, I hadn't even looked through my sets to find what I thought was the best one. It's amazing how hard it is to center the camera.
The approach is very similar to Sony in terms to how Fuji works, so I have a leg up there.
Spectacular sunrise colors and impeccable vertical stitching technique with pano crop, KKFung! Great weather coupled with your Saturday time paid off well, I really enjoy these cityscape colors.
Thanks Kalani! Just so you know in Hong Kong these fancy colors only happened in the summer time, however almost all the weekends was rainstorm or typhoon, so it is the first time I can took these photos but the season is almost end, forecast of next weekend is rainy day again….
