The Viltrox adapter works really well with this combo. The Canon 40/2.8 is the only Canon EF lens I own so I wasn't going to spend the big bucks on the other AF adapters.

Just proves a point that big bucks doesn't mean better. Sorry to say I took the more expensive route.

Thanks Dan! I'm sure the more expensive adapters work much better but the Viltrox works well enough for my uses.

I am not so inclined Bob. Yeah it is probably me versus the adapter.
But a lower cost dependable alternative was available but I "chickened out" at the last moment.
All that is important is you get the results you want with few conflicts, if any.

Here's a 100% resolution crop for anyone who is interested. First Fuji pixel shift I've done, always hard to judge how much sharpening to do with pixel shift files.

My problem with pixel shift, how do you WHICH files are in the pixel shift series?
I have started taking a dark frame, hand in front of lens, before AND after the series, 16 files.
Have yet to put anything together using the software, but I have a few saved from my 100s to play with later...
Spectacular sunrise colors and impeccable vertical stitching technique with pano crop, KKFung! Great weather coupled with your Saturday time paid off well, I really enjoy these cityscape colors.
