A few more rom small town Minnesota.
Feels like we are traveling through your small Minnesota towns with you, Bob, nice indoor captures with great color in very tricky lighting! I'm curious if these scenes the last few days are purposefully empty as a style, except for your family gas station portraits, or if they really have an empty feel about them most of the time and this is how it would feel being there?

Thanks Kalani! The project is evolving and I tend to photograph images that evoke life in these towns many times without people. Photos will hopefully represent the towns but along the way, there are photos to be had that will not make the final project but they're fun images nonetheless. I need to incorporate more people shots such as the owners of the service station. Like I said, it's a work in progress and I let the project take form as I go from town to town.

^^^
Impressive range of colors, especially in the mix of oranges and greens in the first image, Scott, and so much detail it almost looks like a bullet hole to the right of the faded door along with three broken windows. I'm really enjoying the local walk-around, drive-around shots of everyone's cities!

Thank you so much for the kind words! Thankfully, mother bear and cubs live a short hike up from me and I've had a few opportunities to safely encounter them from a distance, but the cubs are almost constantly hiding and obstructed on the other side of this tree. Some moments are truly magical...wildlife is so beautiful and inspiring!

^^^ I agree, Ketang, dreamy, unreal bokeh and uniquely pleasing falloff! So much detail that there is a candid self-portrait of you reflected in her glasses in the last shot.

The Corpse Flower at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. This is only a couple of days away from blooming and stinking up the place. I was amazed at the size of this flower . . . over 6 feet tall.

^^^ Nice botanical gardens set, Bob, the turtle wildlife seems perfect for the GFX autofocus! The bonsai framing with wire supports and shadows is particularly well-balanced, and that corpse flower complete with measuring stick is great! Maybe we will see it bloom in the coming days!
