I guess everything got an upgrade. The 100S is so slow, which is funny because it's faster than the 50S so I guess it's all just an upgrade path these days. I got the 100S to get into the glass and now that I have the glass I want a faster body Creative Edge wrote:
the reason I went to the 2nd generation camera, is for the AF and the overall speed of the camera, even when reviewing photos.

When I first got the 100sII I noticed how much quicker it is than than the 100s.
I was goofing around with the 250 and decidec to try it out on the Kayaker using eye focus and AFC.
To my surprise it stuck really well.
Here is another shot from that series.

Yeah seems like one of the II's is the way to go. I'm thinking about getting the 100II and keeping the S as a back up or just getting the 100II and trading my S in for an SII as a backup. Creative Edge wrote:

Your whitewater kayaker and wildlife sets with the 100sii and 250 1.4x are awesome, Michael! Really cool to see the action shots with the 250, complete with subject pop and Fuji colors, great captures!

These are all super compositions! I HAVE to get my 100sii "adapted" to my Canon lenses. There is so much "out there" in the Spring. I want to see what the 100sii does macro wise....

First time trying my Zeiss Contax 28/2.8 on the GFX 100S II. There is a small amount of vignette. The lens can focus as close as 25 cm.
Really sharp, beautiful compositions here Bob!
I would love to see your "small town project" as it progresses Bob. Cook, Tower, and Ely in the NE were just super small towns when I last visited in the 1990's. We had a cabin on Lake Vermillion..loved it!

Fascinating effect with the background bottles that compliment the main subject bottles, Bernard, I'm really curious how you achieved the blurred effect. Maybe a smoke machine for highlight with side lighting, intentional camera movement ICM for blur, or is it possibly all achived in post? Your technique really works well and I hope it was a successful campaign!
Thanks! This is fully done in post in fact.
This is a personal project, as a wine lover In had always wanted to try shooting wine but had never taken the time to put a little set up together. This was achieved in less than 2 hours end to end.

Fantastically sharp, handheld macro creations, Dan, really nice falloff on the adapted Canon 180 f/3.5 macro, especially pleasing with the chosen dew drops on purple irises. Since you asked for opinions, I prefer the first with a single subject and buds highlighting with leading lines to the opened iris against a darker background, and enjoy the background on all so much that slightly more room to "breathe" around each subject might add to the calmness. Very nice set!

THANK YOU "Double K"! I did not "compose" these shots much. My main function was to see how the adapter and Canon EF lenses worked on the Fuji..Yes I would have composed these much better..It was misting, breezy so I ran out to grab a few for a test.
Appreciate your input. The Canon 180 is about 20 years old. I love it and the bokeh it presents.

Dan.. very nicely done. You are really doing well with that combo.
After the "faux pas" with the adapter yesterday, I was anxious to see how the combo worked. It is raining and very breezy here. The rain let up so I ran out.
I really would appreciate your opinion on everything you see I post here. I cannot learn if one dismisses some aberration.
Thanks!

Thank You Manu!!!
This was one of my 1st lenses in the transition from film to digital. I bought it here 20 years ago!
The bokeh is superlative!
The Nikon 200 Macro really interests me but I need to see if the 20mm makes a real difference!
Thanks again!
Dan
