For some reason, I struggle with level photos these days. Especially a problem at the ocean with a natural horizon., pointing out my screw ups. I've set both my Gfx and X-T to have the electronic level on as a default. It took a few shots to get used to but now saves me having to straighten as many shots in post. Love the old homes!
Yes I must do that also Bob! Also when I was postprocessing, I failed to recheck the "level"...hence the askew homes.
Thanks!!

Another night, another sunset
We've been blessed with beautiful skies the past couple of weeks.
Just beautiful Bob! I can remember sunrises and sunsets at our cabin on Lake Vermillion..Especially returning from late afternoon walleye fishing and a fresh fish dinner!
That foreground rock#3 really solidifies the entire image Bob!!!! IT adds depth, scale, the emotion of the sea and the wonderful light appearing!!
That foam adds a bit of "tasty" to the image also!! You get wet?

Thanks Dan. It was fun to play around with this sunset.
Meanwhile, this morning I put the Canon 40/2.8 on the GFX !00S II. I bought a second hand Viltrox EF-GFX adapter on the cheap. I wasn't going to buy a $600 adapter for a $100 lens (it's the only Canon lens I own).

Looks like a "keeper" Bob!
I went "whole hog" and drained my savings account for the Fringer adapter but have yet to use it. I should probably mount it with a Canon lens and make sure it works ok...
These are darn sharp, crisp and great exposures!

From a week ago. Freshly painted row homes in the City. Mr. Cook lives here. GFX100sii and GF45-100.
FYI..What appears to be some kind of artifact or distortion in the clouds on the left is in fact the Maryland State Trooper #2 Med Evac's blade wash while landing at the hospital..Diud not see this until I downloaded..I left it as is.

Canon EF 300mm 2.8L IS. My sense is that adding an extension tube on this lens, or perhaps just shooting at the MFD causes some vignetting, whereas shots at a further distance have none:

Wonderful image! I guess I need to put the 45-100 on my shopping list.
Meanwhile, a few more from the GFX 100S II and Canon 40/2.8 via Viltrox adapter.
I love how your combo renders the image file Bob! Yeah I am sure you did some postprocessing but the base you had to work on looks pretty solid in my experience so far with the 100sii.
The 45-100GF came with my Fuji purchase. I really like it!

I cannot offer you any opinion of any vignetting w/ET's Ketan. But seeing that you are shooting "up close and personal" could it not be cropped out by stepping back a tad and enlarging the image? Just a theory..don't really know until I try it!
Very vibrant, very colorful...wonderful sharpness! Ketan!

Absolutely. I didn't notice it in the viewfinder as much as when I opened it in Photoshop. Will try to do this.

Should have stated....step back a tad, enlarge the image in pp, which should allow you a bigger frame, then crop out any vignetting.....
Good luck! If that works..let me know. I would be interested!

This is the first 'severe' crop with the GFX 100S II that I tried this morning. Image cropped to about 22MP. Amazing amount of detail . . .
Impressive 3d effect achieved with the gf 45, Bob, I was surprised at first and thought it was your adapted lens explorations! Happy boating. The second 'severe' crop as you put it has an almost painterly effect complete with fine detail, and I like the focus on the yellow tree with reflection. Very peaceful, I'm enjoying learning from your perspectives
