Thanks! It was really nice to get in there early before the crowds
Beautiful morning light casting interesting patterns, especially in your last walkway with railing shot, Mike, your strategy to beat the crowds paid off in every way!

Fascinating history lesson, Graham, I would have imagine Scotland's oldest inhabited house to be more modest, and possibly next to an older tavern, but this mansion is spectacular and complete with Scottish cloudy weather! Great framing and composition.

This is very nice mate!
Has that traditional remote Scottish Countryside vibe to it! I could be "coming home"!
LOve it!

Still getting acquainted with my GFX100sii and GF45-100mm. I am liking this more each time I get out.
Frederick City, MD. is a very historic and quaint town despite it's congestion at times. It was a POW barracks for Hessian soldiers during the Revolutionary War. Medical hospital for both armies in the Civil War. Many of the Hessian soldiers that were pow remained in the area and some of the oldest names in Maryland history resided here. Both before and after death.
These houses are in a historic section near the Maryland School for the Deaf and the Hessian Barracks.
Thanks for looking.
I might add that I was initially thinking B&W conversion but Spring is here.
Dan
PS..When I first arrived to park then walk..a painter was finishing the pink turret painting but still had some tarps et al..so I went to other places and when I returned he was gone. Fresh coat of paint!
Also I have hand tremors! Pretty bad at times..I had them here but the flags are waving in a stiff breeze and IBIS is excellent!!!

Beautiful colors you chose to keep, the pink turret with fresh paint truly pops, Dan! All critically sharp with your practiced technique and IBIS, congrats on your explorations!

It was a very bright cloudless day Manu. Cool also so I could stroll around the places I had in mind to test the GFX/GF further and not overheat.
High shutter speeds and high-mid aperatures....
Initially I was going to convert these to B&W..but the Spring flowers and trees needed to be seen.

Thank you "Double K"!!!!
I am happy to hear that you see the sharpness as crisp as I do. Sometimes new things warp the mind into seeing sharpness that really isnt there.
That is where I depend on you members to keep it "real"!
Thanks!

I was fearing the tremors very much. The 100sii with the 45-100 is heavy to me. MY hands did start to shake and I did have trouble with some shots with wobble. But I am extremely impressed with the in camera IBIS and lens IBIS.
IT takes the fear out of blurred images!
Yes I was lucky with the pink turret!
Many thanks for your analysis.

Wonderful images!
I love olde houses that have been wonderfully restored and kept up. Frederick has many and most are very well kept! The row houses(I have NOT yet processed) are equally wonderful and colorful.
I am painting indoor walls now so it will be a few days before I post Bob. You posted images of homes actually gave me an added push to get out and shoot those houses!
Thanks!

For some reason, I struggle with level photos these days. Especially a problem at the ocean with a natural horizon., pointing out my screw ups. I've set both my Gfx and X-T to have the electronic level on as a default. It took a few shots to get used to but now saves me having to straighten as many shots in post. Love the old homes!
