Finally, I got the AD-S2 reflector for the AD200 bare bulb. Here is a summary of measurements I have done and gathered from different sources that were in line with my own. Just so it's easy for everyone to understand, I picked the AD200 bare fresnel as the base line and everything else would compare in terms of stops of light. All measurements were only done for the center brightness, so ignoring the light spread/pattern. The spread difference between the AD100 and AD200 is minimal.
AD200 Bare Fresnel: 0
AD200 Bare Bulb + AD-S2 (no diffuser): -0.1

Am I reading this correctly that the AD100 in the 20" SMDV beauty dish with no reflector metered 1/10 stop higher than the bare AD100 zoomed to 85mm? I guess that must be without the front diffusion panel then? I'm curious how much light you get out of it shooting without the deflector, but with the front diffusion panel. I love the SMDV boxes but they are double diffused and it might be worth it to have this one if I can get an extra stop or more out of it when needed.

Yup, without the deflector and front diffusion panel. I'll test the loss with the diffusion panel this weekend, though I suspect it should be around 1-stop. There are two new lines of SMDV Flip. The Flip G is with the handle and double non-removable diffusion built-in and the Flip Pro is with a more efficient silver surface with removable diffusion panels. Their Flip Beauty is like the smaller Flip Pro with the additional deflector

So do you have this 20" Beauty Dish with the handle built in for speedlights/AD100/AD200:
I have the 20" one as well as two of the 32" boxes in the same style. My thought is that if the 20" beauty dish is more efficient by at least 1 stop (with the front diffusion panel but no deflector) it might be useful for when I need to squeeze out a bit more power like shooting in full sun. I have considered just cutting the inner diffuser out of the 20" box that I have but I'm hesitant to permanently alter it without knowing how much of a benefit it will give and whether it will noticeably impact the light quality.
Anyway looking forward to hearing your findings, appreciate it.

I have the 32G + AD100 zoomed at 28mm. It does have a hot spot but overall I like it. At 85mm the hotspot is significantly more pronounced. I wish Godox would make a small AD100-like stobe with a regular bare bulb, that would allow to distribute light more evenly.
With the Nissin LS-55C stand the whole set up is almost "pocketable" lol. You can simply attach it fully assembled but collapsed to a backpack.

No deflector but with the diffusion panel on, you lose about 2.3 stops. The output is quite even regardless of the zoom setting. But as docusync noted above, you might still have some hotspots.

Thanks! Interesting that the output is consistent across the zoom range as I’ve noticed that with the double diffused 32” the output is greater at 28mm, probably because more light is reflecting off the sides and going through the front panel only instead of going through both layers of diffusion.
Just one clarification, what zoom setting for the bare flash are you comparing it to when you say -2.3 stops?

I tested the bare flash + bare Flip Beauty 20 at both 28mm and 85mm. The 85mm setting was about 0.3-stop more. The diffusion panel outputs (at both zoom settings as well) was compared to the 85mm setting.

Thanks OP I came across your post about these and it helped make up my mind that it would be worth giving them a try. I use these in a few different ways, for the first one I hike and shoot mountain bike racing and every ounce matters when you do that. I was taking AD400's and AD200's with me, but using these with the AD100's is just as good and so much less weight.
I also pair them with my AD400's and the long throw reflectors, the AD100's with the Magnums on them go below the AD400s and fill helmets really well.

Giving a nudge to this thread here - I'm looking to get the same setup AD100 + Profoto Clic Magnum Reflector.
Some lovely photograph reference - do you use a diffuser as well or straight out the magnum reflector?
Thank you!!!
No diffuser since it is small light source anyway. You might want to try the Clic Fresnel first for a more compact set-up. The Clic Magnum is a better choice for a single person portrait, with round hotspot and gradual edge.
