When I entered the room it was indeed ghostly! I thought it was a mannequin! Then I saw his hands moving! He said "Come in"without moving an inch. Thanks for noticing the "kerosene effect"! I felt exactly that way also!

I entered the Provost Marshal's Office, took some images and heard some papers ruffling from another room....I went to see and saw this man at work by a kerosene light. On the right are shadows from that lamp on the walls. I converted it into B&W but found the warm glow and intimacy of a lone person being observed and photographed to good to change! Just me.
