Only first party Nikon lenses use the arrows.
that's disappointing, and a little confusing. I have a Zeiss 85 1.4 that the arrows in the viewfinder work to show where my focus is.... I just bought my first voigtlander and was hoping that would work on that glass also.
Yes indeed. I can really admire people who are able to make very interesting pictures from simple day to day things and situations. I don’t have that myself, but can see it with others.

Scott, it seems like you could take photos of the phone book with that Zf + Voigtlander APO combo and it would still be art. Well done.

I can't remember if the focus arrows and dot show on the Voigtlander since it has contacts, but the AF box does turn green, which is really quick and accurate. It works on my Z9's and Zf.
This is a part of a castle nearby my home that for some time was the headquarter of the 101 airborne division during Market Garden in the 2nd world war in 1944.

Finally got out with the 2 apos today (35 & 50)....all taken with the Zf. The focus was simply lens testing with comparisons with the 35mm f1.8S and the 50mm f1.8S. If the apos were to blow the 1.8S lenses away, I'd sell the 1.8S lenses despite AF. Right now I'm undecided, so will keep testing (code language for not being good at selling excess lenses)....but most images favours the apos. I'm really impressed with the corner sharpness which is the biggest difference. I'd also say the apos produce images that require less editing which is a bonus.
