Next few are with the voigt 50mm f1 and are all wide open except the last one, which is f2. I was shooting a 100 mile trail race a few weekends ago and put it in the bag with the ZF set to monochrome mode. Didn't pull it out much and wish I had more, but here are a few from a river crossing and an aid station.
Both of these lenses are very new to me and I haven't done anything that I really love yet, but have mostly just been fooling around with them. I don't really get to use manual lenses much for jobs because I'm usually shooting moving subjects. I love the 35mm for it's size on the ZF. I'd hoped it would do better for astro, but in some test shots it showed more coma than the nikon 35mm 1.8s. The 50mm f1 I feel conflicted about because I bought it used on a whim, but it feels like a lot of money to have tied up in a manual focus lens. It's also decently big. Think about the size of an old ais 85mm 1.4 (a little bigger but a little lighter). That said, it has a really unique look to it that is nice in color, but I think really shines in B&W. It's sharp enough wide open, but retains good contrast compared to other fast 50mm lenses. More vignetting than image wide open, but I kinda like that look.

I thought it would be fun to have a Voigtlander thread for F and Z users. With the Nikon Zf being a great platform for the native Z Voigtlanders, we should have people shooting those lenses quite a bit. The Nikon manual focus thread is very active, but no room for CV lenses there!
Please denote which camera and lens you used for the shots in your posts. Any Voigtlander lens of any mount is fine as long as it was shot on a Nikon. Any Nikon body, film or digital, is fine.
Thank you for starting this thread. I thought about it, but didn’t . I am so glad you did. It is already on the second page!, yeay. Great shots on this thread. Will post when I am at my Mac.

Voigtlander 21mm F1.4 E mount - Techart E-Z adapter - Z6

Love these images. How do you like 21/1.4? Weigjht, handling ? I am leaning toward 20/1.8 S as I don’t want the hassle of adapting but, I have been very interested in this lens. Hoping Cosina will release Z version 21/1.4 or 21/3.5 for the next round..

I really love the voigtlander 21mm. I have no experience with the 20mm F1.8S. The image is fairly sharp for astro wide open at F1.4 and coma is pretty good but not perfect. It handles well on the Z bodies. It's heavier than my older 20mm F1.8G lens but it's more compact and just feels great with the all metal construction. (manual focusing is a night and day difference!!) I have thought about adding the 21mm F3.5 as a travel landscape option though. IMO, the 3.5 has nicer sunstars and it looks to compete very well in sharpness once stopped down in a nice compact size. The one thing that surprised me though about the 21mm f1.4 is the bokeh at F1.4. I really like the way it renders the out of focus areas of the image. If you don't need F1.4 though, I'd take a hard look at the 3.5 like you said you were going to.

Cory ( Am I calling you correct ? if not my apology please correct ),
Thank you for your response. In terms of bokeh, yes, I really like th 21/1/4's bokeh. And, of course, for me, the mystrious vignette I dig so much. It adds such a drama to the image. I must say, though, I also have seen bokeh of 20/1.8S and I was pretty impressed with it. It also focuses very close (20 cm ! ) too. In sprit, I would like a UW voigtlander to pair with 40/1.2, but I need to be practical. Techart adapter scares me. Also, the fact I even fumble with FTZ on site when changing lenses, adding yet another kind of adapter is far less attractive to me. If 21/3.5 comes out in Z mount, I will not hesitate. if 21/1.4 comes out in Z mount, I will stop and think, and very possibly jump ( weight is still a factor ).

Yup, Corey. I vignette my images extra most of the time. Ya, right now the techart adapter isn't working with my ZF. I can't update it either with my iMac so that's dissapointing on a lot of levels. Native Z mount voigtlanders definitely have a lot of appeal for that reason!
