I did not read all the pages, I was wondering if 40mm f1.2 VM and Z are the same lens or slight different
I would like to get one for Nikon Zf
I had other Voigtlander lens before and I don't like the glow effect of some of them wide open
If 40mm f1.2 get sharp and without ghosting at f1.4 I would probably refer the smaller 35mm f1.4 VM Nokton Classic M.C. II
What would you suggest in 35 - 40mm range?

I don't know if the VM and Z lens formulas are different - some other guru will need to clarify that. I use the Sony E version of the 40 f1.2 on my Z6. I know folks complain about 'softness' at f1.2 but it looks to me more like a loss of contrast - add some clarity and contrast in post and it looks sharp within the DOF. F1.4 is better and by f2 it is wonderfully sharp with good contrast.
With the 35VM you'll lose all lens/body communication advantages, though it would be a lovely looking lens on the ZF.

I think the two are too different for them to get into each other's way.
It seems to me that the willingness to use high-priced 3rd party solutions with manual focus is also less pronounced in the Nikon Z camp.
Ultimately, a CV 21/1.4 Nokton Z would occupy a similar niche to the CV lenses already available for the Z-mount.
More like the special red wine or the French blue cheese, something for connoisseurs and gourmets, but not an attraction for the main stream/fast food faction.
I could even imagine that the 21/3.5 Color Skopar would have better sales in the Nikon Z-mount.
It would fit perfectly with the Zf, the demand for very compact solutions has definitely increased due to the Zf and and the virtual absence of such solutions in the Z-mount, also the willingness to use MF lenses with a aperture ring with a Zf body.
Were those taken through a window? Given the clarity it doesn't look like it but I was wondering where you found an outdoor perch that high on so many sides . . .
