sorry I did not quite managed the same subject's magnification but close enough.
I did not post process anything except for resizing raw file in PS and saved as jpg.

Glad to see the colour versions. I was so tempted to ask. Based on these examples, to pick one over the other will be evry hard. I'd be happy with either lens but for sure my arms will be happier with the Plena.

This is very helpful - thanks! Not to be too greedy, but would you mind doing this comparison again but with the subject a little further back (but with some transition of background elements still)?

If you don't mind stationary object like an empty bench or row of fences, I could take both lenses out again as
the park is behind by apartment building. More difficult to get someone to be in the picture
I will try to get some test shots before the weekend is over. One my colleague is away on vacation so I am working for two
(But she will be paying me back when I am away next month )

No rush but thank you for doing that when you can! I think it would be really helpful to see or mimic a full body portrait if possible. Seeing your pictures above doesn't show enough between them to justify the size and weight perhaps, but I wonder if I'd feel differently with a bit more space between the lens and the subject. Cheers!

Just remember I did take a full body shot. In PS, I just change WB for both to daylight, also for some reason, 135/1.8 was shot at SS 1/400, f1.8 iso 64, and 200/2 was shot at 1/250, iso 64 so I increased exposure a bit to try to match both a bit more otherwise only resizing raw file and convert to jpg.

Big thanks for this! I'm a sucker for the 200mm f2 but the pragmatic person would probably say sell the bigger beast and enjoy the smaller 135mm. Both of course are beautiful. I think I prefer the 135mm for the closer up image and the 200mm for the images taken further back. The only thing I don't like about the 200mm is the size and weight. Curious of your thoughts and thanks once again!

200/2 is a beast but I love the result when the condition is right. 135/1.8 is much much easier to use in comparison.
The first set with the bench, I was down on my knee taking the pictures and it was a lot easier to move around with 135/1.8.
Luckily after handling 400/2.8s, 500/4e FL and 600/4e FL a lot, 200/2 is not so bad. If I am not into bird and wild life photography and use to handle heavier lenses, I would really hate 200/2, I think. I take out 135/1.8 probably 10 times more often than 200/2 for sure.

Oh I know! But I'm serious. I tried shooting her jumping up and down.
Toggled through the AF Methods and was left puzzled.
I haven't touched a Nikon for about 5 years!
Feels good to be home though.
