The Aporia is my all-time favorite 24mm, but your low-light Lumitar shots look nice too. They have less blur, yet the flare is really appealing to my taste.
Yeah, I liked the uncoated Lumitar in low light city scenery shooting quite a bit. In daylight when shooting against the sun or any other bright lights the flaring and loss of contrast can be quite extreme but I like the color output of the lens a lot and I also like the overall rendering. I think there are no big differences between MC and uncoated versions apart from effects when shooting against light, but those effects can be major.
My copies are both Black & M-mount (#73 MC, and #115 uncoated). The uncoated versions are documented with text in the original boxes saying "non-coat model" in Japanese, and there is F-MC labeling on the MC versions and no corresponding labeling on the uncoated version. The coating related color reflections can also be easily seen on the MC version when looking at the glass though, whereas the uncoated version shows no color reflections at all.
I'm looking forward to shooting more with the uncoated version (which I just acquired about 10 days ago).

It's been one of the most popular MS-Optics lenses and they made more than one production run but they've always been sold relatively fast. Even today the lens is not marked as sold out at MKDirect (MS-Optics own online shop) although it is out of stock there so there could be a chance that they can still make more.

Overseas buyers could contact MS-Optics directly by e-mail at msopticsmiyazaki @ gmail.com and ask about possibility of bying a new one from there. If they still have parts they might be able to make them based on orders.
Thanks. I was able to reserve a copy. Kamii from MS optics says ETA is February with price being roughly 130000JPY or $850. She said it's going to have redesigned helicoid.

Good to hear! That redesigned helicoid sounds interesting. My personal copy (Silver #36) has been holding up well but I've seen reports of screws getting loose with many copies of the original version. I bought mine relatively late in January 2024 from remaining stock at Lemonsha Akihabara (probably the last copy they had).

I hope it works out well for you!
She said the new version will allow closer focus. That would be very cool.

MS Optics Apoqualia 28mm f2 on film, specifically Rollei RPX 25, a slow film that allowed me to use wider apertures on the lens to maximize vignetting and character. Photos taken with a Leica M2-R.

I reserved one as well, thanks for pointing me to them to do so.

May I know if a silver version of 73 f1.5 might be available for pre order?
I think so, when they wrote they said black now and silver early 26, if you send them a reservation request I bet it will be no problem, other than the wait. They seem easy to work with. New now is cheaper than the recent eBay used, so I guess the bottom fell out of the used market for these.

Thanks, MS optics has replied they only have black chrome 73mm. I am not sure if i want a black chrome lens although my MS collections are entirely black chrome or black paint. I feel silver 73mm pairs better with silver M10P.

My ms optics 73 mm is on its way, just got tracking. When Ms Optics responded to me with tracking they asked if I wanted to reserve a 35 mm 1.3 or 1.4 or both. They are remaking both in 2026, no details about color/material or whether there are any mods to lens. I reserved a 35/1.4. They mentioned as always numbers will be limited. Another option for a new lens- the resale prices of the 35mm are rather high and given the less robust construction of the lenses to make them light always a concern- cheaper new is better. 😀

There was earlier talk on this thread (from Aug 10 onwards on page 20) about those Apollon 36/1.3 and Apoqualia 35/1.4 re-releases. I also made a reservation for 35/1.4 since I already have all the other 35-36mm lenses from MS-Optics and I've always missed having the 35/1.4 too (they are a bit too rare and pricey in the 2nd hand market).
I got info earlier that 35/1.4 re-release should be available in black, silver and black paint and I reserved the BP version. Expected ETA was mentioned as March and I think for Apollon it was February. I'm not sure if all schedules remain on track but I hope so.
About whether there were going to be any changes for the Apoqualia re-release, I got the following info earlier:
We would like to make minor adjustments and improvements from previous works, but we will produce the product without changing the basic design.
Regarding the optical system, we have made slight adjustments to the thickness in consideration of the individual variations that existed in previous models. This time, we have made efforts to minimize the individual variations and to produce a model that is more faithful to the original design.
Basically, it's no problem to think of it as being the same as the original, except that there are more color variations, such as the black paint.

In other words, are they saying they tightened the production tolerances to reduce variation while still keeping the original design?

That's pretty much how I understood it. I didn't ask further questions about it after that.

Finally pulled the trigger on a GFX 50R. I have a cousin younger than this camera, so wish me luck that I get at least 5 good years out of it, if not 7 or 8
I know before I got a medium format camera myself I was driven crazy by the lack of image samples with MS Optics lenses. They weren't nonexistent, but they were so painfully limited.
