The size of the X-T line is what pushed me to Sony full frame. Not much advantage to shooting the vastly inferior X-Trans sensors when the body is the same practical size as a great full frame.
'Vastly inferior' LoL

and that was the option of the day. you could have multiple preloads. could you do better back then? what were you doing in 1995/96?
so you had a choice, learn to work with it or not. try on the back of a motorcycle. oh, you still didn't shoot at 20-30 fps.
Could try a stereo camera, backup image ALMOST the same, but still on the one film 😁
I'll get around to the rest of them . . . Speculation is sometimes a healthy exercise in coming to understand how a company sees its market and future. Often the divergence in what people 'guess' something is going to be gives information on how people perceive a company and how a company perceives itself. That is, wishful thinking can be a sobering exercise. Speculation based on some verifiable information is just more fun. I'm just curious if you have something more substantial than just armchair marketing. No harm meant.
In that case, less than verified leaked information but more than tea leaves. A friend that told me about this certainly has inside knowlege of what is going on in Nikon but things that were discussed internally don't always come through as plans cahnge and product is made depending on designing team, marketing team and lots of other factor. As I said, success of Z8/Z9 may have Nikon rethink some of their strategy and camera body design is rather fluid in Nikon's world so
nothing is set in stone for months or year in advance.

How small are we talking? The Fuji X-T4/T5 have IBIS and those a pretty small....
I meant similar height, length to Z6-7 line may be just a bit smaller if they could shed some, but thinner if no IBIS, hence my speculation on single card slot.
Yeah, lots of sadness from those who managed to convince themselves they were going to get a $2000 Z8 with mechanical controls, which was almost certainly going to be bundled with a screw-drive and AI-coupled FTZiii.
People with zero common sense sad and confused by the world, news at 11

And for the record, I’d like for my own personal $2000 Z8 to be built in a bespoke magnesium and brass S2 chassis, enameled black. Is that so much to ask for?!?

... sad trombone...
I don't think anybody convinced themselves of that...
There's a big difference between "I think the camera will have X, Y, Z" and "I'd like for the camera to have A, B, C."
We all have our own notions as to what we'd like the next camera to be. I think most adults are smart enough to realize that Nikon doesn't build cameras to suit each individuals fancy...
New rumor says a new 25mp-ish stacked sensor. Oh boy, that’s great news for Z6III. That’s right where we’d want resolution to remain. Bring some sort of raw recording from the Z8/Z9 cameras and we’ve got a winner.

New "rumor" is literally just a quote of a post of some guy on DPReview stating what he supposedly heard from a dealer friend.
NikonRumors sometimes gets good info, most often not. They were wrong about August 2nd and now they are desperately trying to cover for some reason
