I think the Zf would be greatly served by allowing custom banks like the Z8/Z9, it could definitely be added via firmware as the processor can handle it, but who knows if Nikon will.

If only you could read a FULL sentence you'd get to the end part that is the crux of your claim, and, of course, non-present in my post.
Facts about the preferences of people in certain geographic areas are just that, facts. The Japanese have voted OVER and OVER that they prefer considerably smaller cameras than westerners. Part of that is of course physical differences, and part of that is that cameras there tend to be more of a fashion accessory and carried by women for that reason.
Understanding how the market works doesn't make one racist, it makes one informed, and that the Z Fc is both comfortable to use and a solid fashion piece explains the popularity within the Japanese market....Show more →
Yes, sales statistics suggest that the Japanese market prefers more compact cameras.
The elderly US market also prefers compact cameras. I guess their hands have been shrinking all these years.

I finally saw the post you were responding to. I agree with your position on this, and am encouraged to see you standing up to him. PMs reflect that you are far from alone in this. He is repugnant in so may ways....
It's available in a few places. I originally found it on Etsy where it is the most expensive but you have the option of getting a matching leather strap:
Since I couldn't find anyone who already had the item at the time of buying and because the wait times were so long, I went for the Ebay seller as I figured I would have someone communicative in case there ended up being an issue. I wasn't sure if the Amazon was going to be a lot cheaper because they were selling rejected samples (I have no evidence of that, but that was my thinking at the time). Having received it and finding the quality is good you might want to try the Amazon option because it's a decent savings and now, unlike before, it looks like they are in stock in the US and you don't have to wait a full month for them to make more as was the case for me.
Here’s the link to the Amazon place to get that half case. it comes in various colors. I ordered one about a week ago, price appears to have gone up $10:on them since I ordered mine.

I measured the speed of the Zf's electronic shutter today, for both stills and video. It's identical to the Z6. I decided to measure the mechanical shutter as well:

When did he claim that the Japanese were inferior due to having smaller hands, though?
They are shorter than Americans on average, so they probably do have smaller hands. In certain situations having small hands is bad, in others it's good. In most cases it doesn't matter at all. So it's neither a superior or inferior trait.

Boys and Girls, with all due respect to anyone reading this, I am respectfully requesting this line of commentary within the thread please stop, and let's return to the subject at hand, the Nikon Zf.
I have been on this forum as a member since 2010, and in all my postings and communications with anyone here, I have tried to be gracious and polite and to avoid bringing by comment or suggestion any political or social commentary as per forum rules. Quoting "statistics" and then following them with remarks that by implication suggests another agenda is not right, and in my opinion does not belong here.

I tried twice (on Amazon) to order one of these, and both had to be refunded because the item didn't make it out of China. Just a heads up.
Joseph, this is very interesting. I had ordered this item in black on Friday, and according to Amazon it was in stock and I have notice that the shipment will arrive from Amazon tomorrow. However, in looking at the links and what I am seeing going directly to the listing from logging in to my account, there are some interesting changes since I ordered. I am very curious as to what will transpire. Will let you all know if it actually shows up or I get the "we cannot deliver this" notice.

As it happens, my original order did show up today, even though the last tracking update had indicated it had been shipped back to the seller. That update was Jan. 10.
If you end up needing one, I now have a dark brown leather grip that I don't need. :-P

Joseph, thank you for your response. Mine showed up yesterday also, so my 2 day delivery via Amazon was valid. I got the black case and am actually quite pleased with the quality of the product and the attention to detail of the presentation and packaging. The black actually matches the camera quite well, fit is good and the workmanship is well above my expectations. I like how it feels in hand. The texture and size of the grip feels just a hair larger than the SmallRig though they appear about the same at a glance, so I think it is likely the difference is in the feel of the materials used.
My reason for adding this half case was to carry the rig without an arca plate to blend in when doing everyday street images and avoid notice. The black works well for this along with a simple black sling strap and small lens.
I really am not sure what to think of the actual Amazon listing. When I pulled it up, via the link listed here on this thread, the item was shown to be shipped by Amazon. The brown was not available and after thinking about it, I decided that the black would be more appropriate for my intent anyway. I logged into my account and used up some left over gift cards and made the purchase which was to be delivered 1-22-24. This was confirmed in my Amazon confirmation email.
When I read your post, and based on past Amazon quirks, I logged back in to look at the listing and it clearly now showed Black as shipping from Iborry. I clicked on various colors, and now, some showed shipping by Amazon, some by IBorry. My best wild guess is that some of these are or were in possession of Amazon, some not, and I apparently got the last Black one Amazon had. The tracking did show normal Amazon 2 day processing from the west coast and arrived here yesterday about 6pm CST.
Wish I could share facts rather than best guess speculation. I suggest you set your expectations based on what you do or don't see stated regarding shipping, but the product does seem quite nice if it meets your intended purposes.
