Now that you have had the opportunity to wander around and use the lens, has the protective filter helped in keeping fingerprints off of the front element? It seem like it would be easy enough to plant one when changing aperture. If it happens on the Mintar, Lomo will call it a feature.

Akshully I am using it with the 25.5mm rubber lens hood from the Pentax Auto 110. So it really helps to keep my grubby fingers off the glass. If I didn't use that, I'd def use the 25.5 UV filter as then lens is seriously exposed!
There is zero vignetting w the lens hood. Or with just the filter. Filter + hood did vignette.
What is kinda shocking about this lens is how good it is at handling flare. Better than most of my Leica lenses. The focus is very smooth, perfectly weighted and a great throw, so it is really easy to use quickly. Aperture changing is a bit fiddly so while it is ok, this lens works better with an AE camera like my M7.

Lens being pointed up a bit resulting in the converging verticals. Normally I'd adjust in post, but want to show the full image as is w no corrections. So peeps have an idea as to how this lens really behaves.

I like how the comments devolved into a uv filter argument..
If that’s a Kameracraft grip, that cost more than the lens!
Remember, take a $20 N80 and a no name lens next time you decide to push into the fray at the next big protest!
Unless you’re someone who just loves their N80, then take a Rebel.
