Congratulations on getting your lens, abet through your own detective work and no help from AliExpress. Images look surprisingly good. Should make for a great street lens!
Thanks! A roll of Delta 3200 (shot at 1000) is drying. Should see the results tomorrow.

I picked up a kit consisting of the s16, s31, UV and Skylight. May remove the glass from the latter for a small hood similar to the MS Optics' size.
Does your box shows Funleader in the front? The initial batches didn't have that name in the box. (see image)
My box looks the same as your pic. No Funleader anywhere.
The Funleader Brightin Star... maybe they should add the word Funleader to the lens too? I think there is still room for more text.
You know, the linen lined box it comes in is very nice. Better than any of my CV or ZM lenses!

If you got it from Funleader, the box will say Brightin Star X Funleader instead of the Chinese writing.
I put it on the EA9 AF adapter, and it fits just right even though it has a sticking-out focusing lever. The lever is tall enough so it doesn't cause problems when mounting. You can also freely rotate the focusing ring.
Auto-focus works well but only in the center area, probably due to the massive FC.

So... Leica MP, BS 28, Ilford Delta 3200.. I'm showing all these pics in full, uncropped, no lens corrections added.
Of note - stacking the UV filter and the lens hood (from the Pentax Auto110) does cause vignetting as can be seen. Moving forward I'll use one or the other.
Secondly, as all these pics used the Pentax UV filter, I'm not sure how much that added to the lens flare. Then again, I was also using the hood.
A couple o pics to show flare. The first one has a jelly bean shaped flare blob on the left. This happened twice on the roll, both times taken within a few moments apart of the same composition:
This flare I like - again not sure if it would show like this w/o the UV filter:

Love your photos @Desmolicious@, and I'm tempted to pick up Fred's copy because of your photos, but I'm also drawn to the VM 28/2.8. I want a 28 for a new to me R-D1 with the 1.5x crop factor. Any thoughts on which version would work better?

The VM optically is superior. Do you want super small (the VM is already small!) or super optics?

Saw the ad. For $285 like new I'd get it. It's $340-ish from the store. Try it out, if you don't like it, sell it on. You'll lose maybe a couple o bucks.
The VM is $700..

BS 28 2.8 vs CV 28 3.5. Incredible that the much smaller lens is almost a stop brighter! Excuse the blurry smartphone pic - didn't realize it missed focus until I uploaded it.

I shot some colour film with the BS, and was excited to see how it performs on that. Unfortunately the lab had some peeps out sick so it won't be ready until maybe tonight or tomorrow.
Similar to the first gen CV 21 and 25 f4s, this lens seems to perform better on film.
