Incredible set Joshua. Your storytelling, both written and through images made this a winner for me. This is a great departure from the standard bird pics here.

Your leopard images are incredible Joshua, so rich in character. The Hyenas are vicious and aggressive! Excellent and thrilling set of images. Must have been exhilarating to be there and see this take place. Wow!

I greatly appreciated your kind comment, Karl! And yes, those hyenas are exactly what you described and hence, they you successful and proliferate in their environment.

Thank you very much, Dave! I am happy and flattered that you like the set.
Super shots. Leopard probably waited until hyenas were gone (there's usually more than 2 around, I am guessing) as it would be no match for a whole bunch of hyenas intent on getting first dibs.

Thank you very much, Dennis! Yes, the hyenas were still hanging around but at a distance, maybe waiting to digest the food and work up another appetite for second. The female leopard decided to steal her kill back.

Crazy how the big cats always defer to their cousins... fantastic set.
Thank you very much, Adam! Had it been a bigger and stronger male leopard, the first hyena would have thought twice to steal the kill in the first place. But indeed, a female leopard would not take the risk of taking on a hyena, let alone more than one.
