I was walking through Kissena Park the other day and noticed the trees were full of kinglets. I decided to take on the challenge to photograph these energetic little birds that rarely stand still. As I was trying to get an image of the female, the male flies over and lands on a fence too close for me to focus. I backed up and got a photo of him and he continued to stand there. After this, I had some success with the female.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris

That is a sweet shot on the last one! Other than the perch I love the coloring, detail and showing of the crown, sweet! You handled that presentation perfectly! The first is lovely as well.

The “crown” is visible in #3 and it is a gorgeous bird - well-captured all of them but #3 is my pick, Morris!

Thank you Joshua,

Great captures Morris of these quick little birds.
Thank you Armd,
I could not believe the male stayed in one place for about 30 seconds
Excellent shots of a constantly moving target. I use a red dot pistol sight in the hot shoe to get me on target. I’ve been trying for years to get that ruby crown.Wow!

Thank you Todd,
I've captured the male crown a few times. I had to pull the red luminance down to make the crown look good
