I'll be very interested to hear what you think of the 40. I'm not thrilled with the five straight aperture blades, but if it lives up to the MTFs and is relatively distortion-free, then I may have to pick one up. It'd be nice to have a little lens that can be useful on both my a7rII and 50sII.
The 50/1.4 is a nice lens. Shot straight, it's a strong little fifty and then you get all the fun of a Lensbaby Composer like bellows for tilted shots. The 85 is less fun. It's a decent 85 shot straight, but the IC won't cover the FF when fully tilted and they recommend changing to APS-C mode. Despite the word being used in their advertising, neither lens supports any kind of shift. They also offer an inexpensive pair in their 35/1.8 and 50/2. I haven't used either, but I've heard they're strong values for the money.

I think the 24 is fixed aperture, they are coming in tomorrow I think so I'll see what they can do.
The 40 I am more interested as well, but decided to try both. I asked for samples regarding 24 coverage of GFX and surprisingly they had some on file and sent to me right away (hard vignette so about 1:1 ratio coverage only)

That 24 looks like it could be fun. Not sure about the 40, as I seem to be well covered there at the moment - I have 2 of the 3 available 40s from Voigtlander at the moment.

I just got the lenses, short first impression:
-packaging isn't premium but packed very well and safe, everything shown on the amazon listing came (cleaning kit, kingston sd card, leatherette carry pouch)
-both are very lightweight, even the 40 which is much bigger than the 24 is very lightweight. 24 feels almost like nothing.
-24 only lets you do auto lens detection or off, 40 lets you do all (m10m)
-24 has a weird focus drift thing if you let go of the focus tab 1/8 of a rotation away from INF and it ghost-turns towards MFD (is the RF gearing doing this?), 40 has no such quirk
-40 has stepless aperture ring which could be an issue if you have bigger fingers. i haven't seen if you can make it stepped. 24 is fixed aperture
-24 has heavier damped focus ring, while the 40 is faster and smoother
-both seem to be well calibrated for the RF on m10m right out of the both (they do include the little tool for adjustments). i haven't checked for INF yet
-both seem pretty sharp and low-distortion from what I can see
-40 seems to flare with strong direct light source on side of frame, covered with hand no problem tho
after my nap i will take mount them on gfx and see if they resolve okay

I'm going to return the 24, but the 40 I'm beginning to bond with lol
below just close sample compared to gf45 on gfx100
i set the astrhori to f/22 and INF and it indeed had full sensor coverage. gonna test outside later though
EDIT: well, the resolution seems fine but the veiling flare/glare thing is kind of annoying lol still i want it to work but not sure if a hood will fix it since i had to throw my hand far off angle to remove some of it. ill probably keep it for the m10m but maybe just stick with native for gfx
p.1 #8 · AstrHori 24mm and 40mm pancake for Leica M
I went ahead and took some fast shots this morning (mosquitos not worth) to quick compare to GF45:
-GFX100
-ISO 640
-SS Auto
-IBIS ON Handheld
-ES
-C1 22, default, only WB match (clicked in center gray area)
NOTE: It does cover the full sensor just so, thus if you have IBIS on and you're moving around it will introduce vignette due to the image circle moving.
GF45 had a UV filter that could have affected sharpness/WB but it's close enough
Basically, resolution seems to be on par with what they claim. GF45 is better if you 420% pixel peep. I didn't crop any of the edges or corners, but basically they are the same as the GF45 (seem sharper due to more DoF).

and yes, technically the GF45 resolves better but come on lol
this thing is tiny and its only weakness seems to be really bad veiling flare/glare/cast when there is stray light. otherwise it's pretty awesome for the price/performance.
i'm not gonna bother testing it on the m10m, cause i know itll perform even better on there if it's this good on the gfx100.

very good sharpness and full cover sensor my industar 50 f/3.5 lens at f5.6
p.1 #12 · AstrHori 24mm and 40mm pancake for Leica M
the industar is a good lens, but i can't mount it on my rangefinder and it doesn't look as modern, that adapter must be heavier than the lens lol

adapter 80gr weight and lens 70gr. ,but im got zenitar 50/2 mc m2s lens. weight 190gr 46mm filter and sharp from f2 https://allphotolenses.com/lenses/item/c_2570.html also have sharp from f2 helios-44m-7, but weight 250gr and 52mm filter yesterday received super takumar 50/1.4 8element lens 49mm filter weight 245gr small boy

For $250 and less than 200g, I'm not seeing a lot to complain about. If I already had an M-to-GFX adapter that I'd tested square, I could see making this an impulse purchase and figure out how useful it'll be as I go.
I don't think flare reduction is a high priority for them in general. It can be a problem for both the tilt lenses and, from what I've seen in reviews, the 35/1.8 and 50/2. My assumption is they're sourcing their optics as cheaply as possible with little regard for killing internal reflections. It's not the worst trade-off made in budget lenses.

Yeah, it's not that bad btw, but you will notice it in heavy direct side lighting for example. I did some tests on the M10M and indeed it's APO sharpness level.
p.1 #18 · AstrHori 24mm and 40mm pancake for Leica M
yeah it's same brand. i found the front diameter is unnecessarily huge, so i ordered a 46mm-37mm step down ring and i dont think it'll affect coverage on 44x33 sensor. it might help with the side flare thing too
oh wait i forgot about the IBIS thing oh well lol

not affect but more weight to setup, but gfx100s heavy camera, for gfx50r im investigate lowest weight fast lens for travel in mountain. industar 50-2 or this setup as you have
