I have a new design which is better, please wait as I'm waiting for the printed parts to arrive next week, once that is done, then I can share it on the iMaterialise site so you can order. I printed one on alloy and it's a tad heavy, hence I'm getting another one done on SLS ABS, which is great for weight and for handling.

Running Pixii was never expected to be a walk in the park and the last 3 months dialed this up to a whole new level!
Here’s what happened in that period:
We launched the new version of our camera, the first in the world with a 64-bit processor. We have been thrilled by the fantastic reception it got.
We have also announced the 64-bit processor hardware upgrade service for owners of previous Pixii models. The feedback from our customers has been even more amazing. With its upgradeable architecture your Pixii camera can get all the benefits of the latest model, simply by sending it to the factory for a full hardware upgrade.
This did not go without hiccups however. We found that some of our electronic boards were misbehaving: timing constraints were not met, memory was not properly initialized. But some slipped through stress testing and shipped to customers. We are very sorry that this happened, and wish to apologize again to all who were affected by the issues (green white balance, image that did not register, etc…).
Thankfully, the problems have now been corrected by new hardware tests and an important software update.
We are really grateful to the photographers who have helped us understand the issues and manage this situation.
I think it is very cool that they are transparent with issues that they face, and how they are working through it.

I agree... when you look at how things sit right now... the system seems to have a lot going for it but at the same time it is also clear that it is not there yet...
I will say, after looking at a bunch of Pixii photos on the Instagram, that the SOOC jpegs are pretty awful, at least in white balance. It seems to be all over the place. Those who shoot raw seem to make pics with nice colors.
