I was born in Washington state and The Mountain as locals call Mt. Rainier has always been a place of inspiration for me. Now living in Ohio after 47 years in the Pacific Northwest, I’ve been missing The Mountain lately and wanted to share this collection of some of my favorite images from years spent at that glorious national park. I hope you enjoy these views of a place close to my heart!
I camped at this pass many times to photograph sunrise and this one paid off
High on Rainier’s flank the glacier-fed Paradise river flows over falls
The curves of False Hellebore in summer made an irresistible composition
Close to the edge of treeline lies a monkeyflower and rock garden
Wild rhododendrons decorate the forest in June
Ice underneath the lake continues its slow meltdown in springtime
Spectacular collection my friend! A couple of these dust off fantastic memories of adventure on The Mountain! The last image in this collection has always been one of my favorites of yours from Rainier.

Ross, as usual beautiful work. But #2 & 3 are my favorite. Love the composition and choice of shutter speed on#2. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻
My pleasure to share @keepclicking, thank you so much for your comments and for enjoying the beauty of Rainier with me!
An outstanding collection, Ross! The first image with the sharp pointed evergreens poking through the snow like proud sentinels, the 2nd image with silk threads flowing over a carpet of Nature's gold, the third image of artistic shapes...and I could go on to the end...each is wonderfully composed and so beautiful! Excellent memories, excellent work!!!
