@suteetat - great pics! I can't see a komodo dragon though without thinking of Steve Irwin goin' in for a closer look! Love the colours on the rooster (?....not sure what it's actually called given the colours).

Thanks Generally they are quite sedated especially in the morning when they need to warm up in the sun first. However, in the late afternoon, they can be quite active and I would not want to get close to one then. May is the best time as it is mating season there and you often get to see male Komodo dragon fight for female. No idea what those roosters are called but they are quite common on the island and surprisingly quite beautiful.

@400mm, f8,1/320, F8 cropped down to about 18mp, I think on Z9.
With TCx2 @800mm, f11, 1/100s iso 220, cropped to approximately DX cropped, handheld on a 50m boat
while moving surprised I actually got a reasonable shot out of this.

I went to this location hoping to catch some images of some planes flying overhead.....didn't catch them in time but find this 100-400 to be such a swiss army knife. Ended up getting some unplanned images. I didn't have a tripod with me, so didn't get a chance to focus stack properly.....and was a bit sloppy with some focal planes. Oh well, still fun stuff and love this lens.
