A few shots from the SacAnime event over the weekend. Took a few other lenses but becoming very clear that I only need to bring the 50mm for events of this nature.

That last pic of the girl with reddish orange hair really depicts how this lens renders the contrast of peoples faces. I have a 50Zeiss 1.4 and the micro contrast seems to be more pronounced. If I can sell mine I would love to get my hands on this lens.
I have only recently added this lens to my kit. First impressions are that this thing is quite special. Tack sharp, beautiful out of focus rendering and not too heavy for the kind of lens that it is. Well done Sony. I will probably do a deeper write up about it on my blog but here is a sample from a trip to Sardinia. Shot wide open in harsh light.
My wife bought a new Nativity Set at Costco yesterday. Yes, Christmas is on sale in September. I thought it would be fun to see how the 50GM performed in darkness wide open with just the light of the candles.
