Hope everyone is doing well! I had never been to Conowingo in April for eagles before yesterday. Spent about 5 hours there yesterday afternoon to try out my new toys. It was very cloudy most of the time and not many eagle actions. There were maybe 5 or 6 fish grabbing episodes that were close enough. I got to shoot two of them, both butt shots only. The other times I was either not paying attention until it was too late or I was struggling to locate the eagle in the view finder. It had been quite a few year since I last shot a long prime lens. I can imagine how hard it is to find the bird inthe view finder after I slap a 1.4 TC on 600mm! Will need a lot more practice. Thankfully Conowingo is just an hour drive away.
I didn't shoot much yesterday because of the lack of activities, here is my humble contribution from the trip. All these were shot hand held. C&C are always welcome. Thanks for looking.
I know that combo of camera and lens is awesome but the person behind the camera plays more of a role in getting those excellent images. Impressive, Douglas!

Thank you Joshua! Yesterday at the dam I had more fun watching a couple guys fishing for snakehead fish! They caught more than 10 in less than an hour, all 4-8 pounds. I asked one of them if they would sell one to me, they did, so I had snakehead fish for dinner last night
Nice set Douglas! I saw you post these on the FB page. I'm there at least once a week so I've probably seen you there but haven't met you yet. Soon I'm sure.

Thank you Eric! I wish I could go every week! I probably go 3-5 times in winter, but this was my first time in April. Hope to meet you up there someday. I will pm you with my phone #.
Awesome set of eagle images, the first image of the banking eagle was my favorite, because of being able to see the top side of the wings and light. Also like your editing of the images the gave a natural feel.

Thank you very much, Rand. I have two identical BENQ 32" 4K monitors side by side, I am too lazy to calibrate them. Often when I am happy with what I see on these monitors, the pictures could look pretty dull in other monitors. I usually upload them to my iPad, if they look good on my iPad, I am happy.

Thank you! Today I tried to use the 1.4 TC on the 600mm lens, I had trouble finding the target in the view finder sometimes. It's a learning process.
