I was able to test out my new-to-me A9 with the 35 GM at my son's fencing club during one of his practices. Needless to say, it performed awesome.
My son is in the youngest group at the club. The club is home to many past and present Olympians. The owner of the club is the U.S. Olympic men's foil coach, and his son and daughter will both be competing at Tokyo (his son got silver in Rio).
The coach wanted the kids to practice lunges so they know what a balanced lunge feels like
My son on the left fencing the new kid on the right

These are awesome! I trained in epee fencing with the US Olympic Pentathletes when I was in my teens, and these photos brought me right back to it. Such a special sport.

Recent shot from a backpacking trip in Idaho. Sadly we didn't have any dynamic clouds at sunrise, so I just waited for the sun to first hit the peaks while giving my blood offering to the local mosquito population.
