The guy in the first 2 photos was flying low and fast ... at the target which is in #3.
Having freshly landed on a large leaf, he was settling down, when he was chased out of the territory by guy in #1 and #2.

Looking at a field of Muscari "Bluebells". You can see at least one of the paths as they separate the different patches of plants and flowers to try to keep viewers from stepping on them.
