Derek,
Thanks for your comments.
Frankly, as I mentioned in my post, this was as close to a "grab" shot as any ever done. I was losing light and the wind conspired to prevent setting up a tripod. I have many times planned a shot, arrived early, checked settings and waited for the proverbial masterpiece to appear, only to get home and delete the shot.

Thankful guidance from Lady Luck and Opportunity.

Gorgeous light. When you get a chance go back and refine your masking to eliminate the halos on the ridges.
