Recently returned from trip to Alabama Hills, and was fortunate to capture the the setting sun's crepuscular rays above Mt. Whitney, and the adjoining Needles on the left of the peak. I had planned to shoot the rocky hills and the Sierras with the aid of a nearly full moon. Unfortunately, due to strong winds, blowing dust and lowering temps, I had call it an early night.

Wow! Beautiful and dramatic photo. How difficult was it traveling there in the era of Covid-19?
No problem at all, but there is strict compliance at hotels and businesses. Very sparse people presence at Alabama Hills. Traffic was very light throughout my trip from Bay Area to Death Valley, then to Alabama Hills before returning home.

Thanks for the travel info. Good to know. I just got my second dose of vaccines and am feeling better about going on trips.

Lovely light. (I believe I saw this in our FB group, too.)

Yes you did. Frankly, I am impressed first, by how many members you have in your group, and secondly, the number of members who took notice and commented on this shot. Very gratifying.
