I may get the 35 if the review is good. I have the CV 35 f1.2 for fun but may need a small 35 AF lens, not the Sony/Zeiss 35 f2.8 though, not a fan of lenses that don't have any switches, not even an AF/MF switch.
28mm lies half way between the very popular 24mm and 35mm. Perhaps we love the 28mm so much because we can't have it. I have a nice 28mm Nikon AIs, but seldom use it.

Yeah cursed the same. Just bought the Sammy 35mm f/1.8 just over a month ago (so can't return it to store anymore as time has passed too much).
28 mm is half way between my loxia 21 and CV 40. I give up the hope to fill this gap with a prime that is acceptable on 42 mp or 61 mp sensor. Neither this 24 nor 35mm or both of them will do. I may have to accept the zoom option. Sony 24 - 105?

The 24-105 is an extremely good zoom. But it won't give you the rendering of a Zeiss or a Voigtlander.
I personally don't have a problem with the gap between my 21 and 40 Voigtlanders.
Shure. I keep this lenses as every of my primes brings something spezial to the kit. As I will never abandon the 65 CV and the Sony 100 STF. But for the ~ 28 mm range, it seems, We don’t get it.
Excellent news. Hopefully they keep the general rendering characteristics of the 45. If so, I could see a place for all three, as well as a Sony body for them. The 24 will probably be an instant add to pair with the 45. Then 35 and last the 65.
I'm loving that Sigma is making small primes a priority. For me I just have overlap in a few of those FL's...
I don't want to give up the CV 21 3.5 for landscapes, or the 24 GM for autofocus, and I have a sharp copy of the Sony 35 2.8, which fits perfect on my A7c, so not sure I need the speed of the f/2.
That 65 f/2 is actually the most interesting to me. Need to see the actual size & cost first through. Too often I pack a "just in case I need some reach" zoom, and have been eying the Samyang 75 1.8, just worried about finding a sharp one. Maybe this would be an option.

Currently, the most affordable, high quality 28mm option remains the Zeiss ZE (or ZF.2 Nikon F mount) 28/2 lens. Both versions feature electronic connection and exif. ZE (Canon EF mount) is the most common, and can be easily mounted to Sony via Sigma MC-11 adapter.
Perhaps CV will eventually make a high quality 28, which would gap beautifully with their terrific 21/1.4 and 40/1.2 in E mount.

I just got my 13th (+ or -) RX1 because its rendering is just so good. It's a long shot, but given the 45's rendering, I'll hold out hope.
