Hey! I'm interested in seeing how this lens performs in crop mode. I have an R3 like you and like to use it in crop mode occasionally when it is convenient. I used to love using my 24/1.4GM in crop mode to get a "35/2" look. With this new GM, I'm interested in how it performs wide open in crop mode as a "50/2". If you could share some of those images, I'd appreciate it.

Sony says that They have tested whether 35GM has problem with its decoration ring and reported that they found no problem with it. Sony Japan Store says 35GM will be available at March. 12.

Yes, Japan release date has been updated to March 12th (original release date for Japan was February 12th) in all Japanese stores (not only Sony Online store).
