I tried the 17mm with the TZM-01, and not in any particular scientific testing, just handholding and changing ISO to alter the shutter speed, I don't think I observe any noticeable change. ISO was 100 vs 500. So, any noise shouldn't affect the IQ given Z6II sensor high ISO capability.
I did upgrade to the newest available firmware which was ver. 1.2.0 (I think it shipped with ver. 1.1.5). And supposedly what they added was the ability to write FL information depending on the aperture value selected:
F1.0->135mm F1.1->90mm F1.2->85mm
F1.4->75mm F1.6->55mm F1.8->50mm
F2.0->40mm F2.2->35mm F2.5->28mm
F2.8->25mm F3.2->24mm F3.5->21mm
F4.0->20mm F4.5->18mm F5.0->16mm
F5.6->15mm
Also, setting at F6.3 will lock the adapter at the last focusing after turning off, F7 leaves at infinity and F8 returns to normal.
I picked F5.0 (for 16MM) and as mentioned, no noticeable difference between the shots.
@AdaptedLenses
Yeah, so far so good and I don't really notice any play. And my reasoning to go TZM-01 was mainly because its flush front and bottom (so I can rest my camera flat on table)
What exposure times did you use when handholding the 17mm?
And did you compare the 17mm & TZM-01 against setting the focal length in camera with FTZ or dumb adapter?

I had it down to 1/4 and up to 1/50, and turning IBIS on and off at 1/4, I can see it introducing some motion blur if IBIS was not active. So, I can confirm the IBIS was definitely improving the IQ.
I didn't try with a dumb adapter as I don't have anything available to me. When I shifted from Sony FE to Nikon Z, I basically just used M mount as the base since I was using the EA7 on the Sony for my adapted lenses, and this way, I didn't need to invest in whole other set of adapters.
There's probably an M to Z adapter that I can borrow from my buddy. If I can get that, I'll sure report back. But due to covid, we aren't really meeting up all that often. So, no specific timeline for that happening.

Thanks for the update.
It appears that you don't see the odd things I have seen with the MTZ11, so it sounds like the TZM-01 gets the focal length through to the IBIS as it should.

Megadap released firmware V 2.1 ten days ago https://megadap.net/update/ claiming the following bug fixes:
– Solving the bug of Z6ii/Z7ii interruption problem when shooting in 4K60FPS/50FPS
– Solving the bug of Z5/Z6Z7 interruption problem when shooting in 1080P 120FPS
Unfortunately it does not say it makes any improvements over V 2.0 for hunting issues. Has anyone tried it, and if so does it have any undocumented improvements?

I have been checking frequently for new updates in the hope they would fix the IBIS communication issue (IBIS fixed to 50mm no matter what is written in EXIF), but apparently they didn't get that fixed either. I don't do video, so the new fixes aren't relevant to me. I might update my MTZ11 nevertheless. I will test and see how the new firmware makes the focus behave and report back.

I downloaded the file twice. There's no file extension and when adding .zip to the file, it doesn't work either, so we will have to wait for a working file to be uploaded.

Megadap issued new firmware (v 3.0) on October 29th, which fixed some issues and made the adapter compatible with new camera firmware.
However, the main problem with the MTZ11 is not fixed: IBIS functionality still seems to be fixed at 50mm setting, which counteracts its intended effect when using focal lengths far from 50mm. It is particularly visible with my 15mm, but also with the 90mm lens.
I - and others - have pointed out this to Megadap. At first, they said it was because the adapter can't communicate the focus distance. I told them that IBIS works fine with my dumb adapter, but they apparently think it's impossible to do anything to improve IBIS.
For this very reason, I have bought Techart TZM-01, that actually works as it should, regarding IBIS. In other words, Megadap engineers can't do what Techart engineers can.
The TZM-01 is noticeably smaller and fits the size of the camera (Z6) and most M-mount lenses much better. Its only drawback compared to the MTZ11 is that the set aperture (on camera) is used to communicate focal length to EXIF and IBIS, which means you won't be able to record the actual aperture in EXIF - a nice feature with the MTZ11. This means that all your images shot with a 50mm and the TZM-01, will have f/1.8 as aperture in EXIF, and when shooting your 90mm, it will always say f/1.1 in EXIF.
If fully working IBIS is important to you, I can't recommend the Megadap MTZ11 - unless they fix the issue in a later firmware issue, but that seems less likely given how long the adapter has been on the market now without a FW fix for this problem.

For reference, yesterday I took three hand-held shots with my 15mm; exposure time @ 1/2s (half a second), using the TZM-01. Two of them were perfectly sharp, one slightly blurred. This leaves no doubt that the focal length is correctly communicated from the TZM-01 to IBIS and is working as intended.
When using the 15mm with Megadap MTZ11, I need at least 1/30 sec. to get sharp images. In other words, worse than when IBIS turned off. That's how bad it is.

Thanks. Where did you find the info about those settings?
I only got a small user manual with the adapter, which is only in Chinese, and it appears to describe the firmware update process, not how settings are done.

Got it off a Chinese forum which they made a little card about all the settings.
Beside those already mentioned, you can also write the focal length in the exif.
The way you can set the adapter is to flip the aperture to the setting below, take a shot, and it'd write the focal length from there.

Right. You already posted the focal length settings in this thread. They are relatively easy to discover even without a user manual, but those "extra" features aren't. Thanks for writing them up here.
This honestly makes me wonder what Techart was thinking when selling a smart adapter without a user manual in English (neither in the box, nor on their site), and as far as I can see, even without describing the settings in Chinese (at least not in the paper found in the box).

For reference to those who consider buying the Megadap MTZ11:
I have just put my barely more than two years old MTZ11 on my Z6 camera again after a few months using the Techart TZM-01 and the AF motor is DEAD! I can hear a vague sound from the adapter when pressing the AF button, but the adapter doesn't move the least. So, as it is, it's a bit like the TTartisan M-Z adapter except it doesn't read 6-bit code (which is of no use to me anyway).
In other words, the thing died just after the 2-year warranty expired.
I am NOT going to buy a new MTZ11...
