... but when you check out the original poster, it's Shoten Kobo, which may indicate that the brand Shoten is also in the same group of companies:
Whether the autofocus adapter is designed and manufactured by Gabale, Techart or Shoten is perhaps not that important if it's the same group of engineers behind.
- - - "Hello everyone, I’m Gabriel, I have kept you waiting.
After the release of the Nikon Z camera, we found that the Z mount has a huge advantage in adapting, especially when adapting to the rangefinder lens of the M mount, the effect is close to its performance in the original camera. The Nikon Z mount has many advantages, and I position it as the most suitable mount for adapters. The Nikon Z7 has also become my portable camera.
Last year, I discussed with several partners to make a MZ manual lens autofocus adapter ring. The project was officially approved in September, and it was originally planned to be launched this spring. The plan was disrupted by an epidemic. Logically, it is necessary to postpone the delayed time, but in fact many tasks have to be repeated.
Many friends keep asking me about my progress. I am very grateful to you. It also gave us pressure and motivation from the side. The process did have many twists and turns, but the result is good. Now the adapter has been officially developed successfully, and it has been tested for some time. This time, the mechanical structure is completely new, and the spiral transmission structure is used to solve some of the previous pain points.
This time the adapter has also registered a utility model patent last year and will use the new trademark "Megadap".
This time the adapter can be used for single-shot autofocus, and it can be used in both camera and video modes for focus tracking. Although there is a gap with the auto lens, it is a small improvement. I recorded a short video, thank you again for your expectations. The adapter left the market very quickly this time.
The video can be searched for "Gabriel mtz11" on Youku." - - -
I put some of the most interesting new in bold. The Leica M to Sony E autofocus adapter has been criticized for being weak resulting in tilted focus plane after some use. This appears to be solved in the new adapter for Nikon Z.
In a post just after the above quote (on October 2nd) another user says that Gabriel has now confirmed that the adapter will be available in the middle of October. That's very soon!
The video mentioned in the quote is showing the adapter doing it's magic here, also shared by Shoten Kobo at Facebook:

I should perhaps correct myself regarding brand name since the developer himself says the brand name of the Leica M to Nikon Z autofocus adapter will be a new one: "Megadap".
I found a picture of a later prototype where it says Megadap on it, which indicates that it won't be a TechArt branded product after all. Here's a link to DPreview where I have posted it:

I have just ordered it. I will have it in about two weeks or perhaps a little more.
When I have received it, I will of course post my impressions here.

Very cool. I'd be more interested in a Canon RF adapter...
One note though: with FLE type M lenses, the adapter's use of unit focusing will potentially result in some image quality degradation. One solution of course would be to manually focus the lens as close as possible and let the adapter fine tune focus via AF.

I should add that Techart has also made a M to Z autofocus adapter called Techart TZM-01.
It is considerably smaller, but (apparently) also much noisier than the Megadap MTZ11.
Both are priced at US$ 349 including shipping worldwide.

Have ordered mine, they say the mechanical design has been improved compared to E mount design, with a ring type helicoid moving the lens, instead of the rail type used previously, so there would not be the wobble problem seen on the E mount version

I'm really interested in hearing feedback regarding this adapter. I currently use the Techart adapter for Sony, but I actually prefer using my Nikon manual glass on a F-munt to Leica adapter. The reason I'd want to use this AF adapter on a Nikon Z body is to get that Nikon "look" with actual Nikon glass, while gaining AF!

Are they actually different designs? I though they were the same adapter, just rebadged differently.

I'm thinking there are two adapters as well. One thing I like about the Techart, it seems to have been designed to sit flush with the bottom of the Z camera which was always a very annoying issue with the original Techart M to E. That alone might push me in that direction though I don't like Techart's overall support.
Has anyone seen the Techart for sale anywhere? I could only find the announcement on NR.The Megadap is on Amazon & eBay. EDIT: I see the Techart on Amazon.
Now were did "noisier" info come from? Just curious.

I just saw the Amazon listing. The Techart definitely looks more compact with a flush design. The Megadap appears to be made for heavier lenses though, it's something they emphasized in the design description. Nice to have options!

The Techart adapter is up on their site, yes, but only for preorder. I have read user reports about the Megadap adapter for about a week now.
Regarding differences between the two, they are obviously not the same. The Techart is noticeably smaller and has a 2mm shorter helicoid travel distance: 4.5mm versus 6.5mm on the Megadap. The extra adjustment distance will be handy for lenses with longer focal length like a 90mm, 135mm or even longer. I have the 180mm Apo-Lanthar (which is small and relatively lightweight) and for that lens even 6.5mm will be less than ideal, whereas 4.5mm approaches unusable / just fine-tuning focus.
Regarding "noisier", that is something I have tried to find out by listening to the videos that are posted with the adapters in use. Based on those - comparing the motor sound to the ambient and shutter sound - my impression has been that the Megadap is less noisy. This may of course be wrong. However, I just talked to a MTZ11 owner on Facebook, and he says that it has "very little noise in operation". That said, I might have preferred to have seen some tests before ordering and certainly a side by side test with the Techart and Megadap. However, based on what I read, I thought it was the same adapter, so no reason to wait ordering...
I got a DHL notice saying I should expect to receive my MTZ11 in about a week.

You ordered the Techart TZM-01 adapter, if I understand you correctly?

I think I'd lean towards the Megadap MTZ11 myself. I've used Google Translate to view the engineer's Weibo site behind the MTZ11 adapter and he seems quite passionate about the project. I get the vibe he's just as much into photography as any member of FM.

FWIW, I put one of these on my eBay “ watch” list a couple of days ago (from qycamera) and a day later received an offer of $35 off from them. So, I just ordered one, as I figured buying one and using it myself is the only way I would ever know for sure how good it might be.
The $35 off was good. The expected delivery time ebay gave me after the purchase of Dec 17th was less good. We’ll see.
