From what I understand, it was already their 4th day at every 15 minutes all day. The male was already rather shaky when he stood up so I felt rather safe
The lions were very considerate and just laid in the sun when they took a break right by the road for a front row show

Love all the shots on this thread, especially Lance's and Suteetat's. The lion shots brought back wonderful memories of a Tanzania safari last spring where we also watched the serial mating ritual of a lion honeymooning couple. Saw them over two days, still at it. On the Safari I used the 500PF for the long end and the Z 70-200 with 1.4 and 2X TC's as needed. It filled the focal length range, but swapping out TC's while the action is in progress is a real problem. I now have the 100-400 for the next time around.
