Good to see this lens getting some attention.

I've been using my 70-200/2.8S along with my Z9 to photograph my son's baseball team over the past few years. However now he's graduated and will no longer be playing. Not wanting such expensive gear sitting around unused, I've put both up for sale, but seeing this thread is making me wonder if I'm making the right decision.

I'm still using this lens...
I'd love to replace it with the newer and lighter version, but I just don't think it's worth the upgrade and this point in time. My 70-200 f2.8S is still a very capable lens that pairs nicely with my 400mm f2.8TC.
