As far as my short test perfectly usable on the Zf , the 25/4.0 Snapshot-skopar not so much.
About the snapshot 25mm, when you say not so much… I’ve read and seen a red haze but that was a Sony a7r1 or 2. I believe the Nikon has a slimmer sensor stack and a modded cam even slimmer so I’m wonder if maybe it will work. I used a zeiss biogon and that had a deep rear element and it was fine…

Quick question, hope someone can help me.
Any experience using this small little lens on the original A7s Mark 1?
Wanting a very small and compact 35-40mm...

I have the LTM version (which is not quite the same as the M-mount version) and it's okay on the original A7s (I used it on that same camera but now use it on film cameras) but I wouldn't say the performance is optimal due to the Sony sensor stack. It's actually okay for street photography though; here's an example on the A7s, but again keep in mind that this is with the LTM version, not the M-mount pancake.

I believe the Voigtlander Color-Skopar 35mm F2.5 PII was inspired from the Zeiss 35/2.8 Biogon design. Very similar optical designs. Cosina produces both Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses.

Did you tried the zm?

Yes, I had the 35/2.8 Biogon for a while and really like it. Same for the 35/2.5 but I never compare them side by side. I prefer shooting with the Voigtlander 35/2 Ultron.

Sorry for late reply. I dont want to derail this thread to much men guess its ok. Here is a quick comparision with the Nikkor 24mm F2.0 AI-s on the Zf. The Voigtländer is very(!) slightly sharper in center and midframe at the same apperture, but corners isnt that great. About I meter, untuched levels and stuff.

I have this lens and like it for its size and center sharpness, but on my camera (M11), it has strong, and blueish, vignetting. For black and white and some other scenes, it doesn't matter too much to me, but I find it very bothersome on certain images. Stopping down a lot helps with the corner colour cast. The coloured corners have me reconsidering whether I should keep the lens.

Even in Leica thin sensor it has issues
Probably it is good in Film!
