We need an image thread for this lens .
Here's a recent one, where the lens did the work for me. That's my impression of 85mm at least, it either does the job for you or makes it really hard to come up with a creative shot.

Haha, thanks! I'm not really that much of 85mm shooter (though that might change as I'm leaning towards 35+85 combo), as I said I often get the feeling it's either the perfect match for the scene or I struggle really hard to make it work (in some weird way if I only have enough space, I find 135mm more natural to get the framing i want).
Anyways, I'll probably post some shots from my vacation once I get back .

Thank you very much.
My kids can actually look decent on pictures, as long as they are not actively turning away from the camera which happens most of the time .

Whaaaaaaa - is that an F40 LM sitting on the side of the road randomly? Greatest car ever made, veeeeery rare!
'Just' the standard F40 with an LM style centre wing.
It's also the US F40 with the silly California compliance bits, would be nice to see it returned to original specification.

Ah, prefer the original wing! Wonderful car, used to see/hear them driving around London many moons ago. Great pic from the front, really shows the beautiful lines of the design.

I love my 85 1.8. I’ve sold a lot of lenses in my Sony mirrorless days, except this one. I always hang on to.
Is it finally time to grab the sigma?!
Honestly, probably not that dramatic a difference if you haven’t already felt that pull. The Sigma is great IMO and a joy to use. But the 85/1.8 has got to be one of the best values in the Sony system.

Here's mine...
I find it's a love hate affair, so many people either absolutely love it, they're usually from the era, some hate it, they're usually very young.
I had a kid recently tell me 'I'd rather have a Tesla, it's better and faster'. He's wrong on both accounts, it seems the young ones don't value art.
