I don't do portrait photography for hire anymore.....Lots of reason why but I was extremely excited and nervous when my niece asked me to take her graduation photos.
I could not be more proud of her! She graduated on the Principal honours roll with distinction. She smart, kind and of course so beautiful! One of the easiest photoshoots I have ever done. She was just so natural in front of the camera!
I took 1400 photos over 3 hours and narrowed it down to 240......
I don't know why you don't start back up in portraits!? These are beautiful!!! Excellent lighting, great expressions and a beautiful young woman and family. The 4 legged child is my favorite!! So many positives about this series!!

My only nit / recommendation would be regarding the foliage.
Since the focus of the images (imo) are about your niece, maybe pulling back a little bit on the punch of the foliage would not command so much attention on the greenery ... thereby increasing the attention on your niece. Just something you might see how it plays (or not) to draw us even stronger to her.
Imo, these should be about her, not about how boldly you can render the foliage. Just me.
If I'm shooting landscapes, then Velvia. Portraits, not so much.
Again, very nice set with great captures ... just thinking it could be even nicer.
Any chance you would care to share something straight out of the camera? I’ve hear some things about the lens and I would like to see what it delivers before editing.

I don't post sooc shots. You may have luck asking for them on the nikon forum on the 105mm thread.
