I've just made the switch from Nikon (Z8 & ZF) to Sony (A7Rvi & A7CR)
On the ZF manual focus was a pleasure and I had the Voightlander 28mm f1.5, 40mm f1.2 & 75mm f1.5 - those 3 lenses along with the 24-120 were my go to travel kit
The plan was to recreate this setup with the A7CR and the Tamron 35-150mm along with similar manual focus options, however manual focusing on the A7CR is significantly less enjoyable
Which took me down the techart adapter route and the various threads on the best M mount lenses to adapt
This thread looks to be the most relevant and was just curious if there had been any recent updates on this topic
Of my ideal lens set i 'think' the summary is
28mm f1.5 - not good
40mm f1.2 - mixed feedback
75mm f1.5 - good
90mm f2 - okay ish
For what it is worth i'll have or will get good AF options in 16, 20, 35, 50, 85 & 135mm, the manual focus options are just for the joy of taking pictures with them, technical perfection isnt required and a bit of character would be a plus

Well, you take on the Voigtlander lenses is mostly consistent with mine. I would rate the 40 f/1.2 as mediocre. Not at bad as the 28 f/1.5 and not as good as the 75 f/1.5 or the 90 f/2 APO.
Here are the Voigtlander Leica M mount lenses I think work as well (or very close to as well) on Sony as on Leica M:
10mm f/5.6, 12mm f/5.6, 15mm f/4.5 III, 21mm f/3.5, 40 f/2.8, 50mm f/3.5 APO, 75 f/1.5, 75 f/1.9, 75mm f/2.8 APO, 90mm f/2.8 APO, (and likely the 90mm f/4 APO, that will be released soon).
Here is a list of Voigtlander lenses that have some flaws, but I still think are useful:
35 f/1.7, 50 f/1.5, 90 f/2 APO
Fred's review where he has them are genuinely helpful as are the reviews at philipreeve,net.
Here are some other non-Voigtlander lenses that work as well on Sony as on Leica M:
7 Artisans 28 f/1.4 (there is a Sony version with a Leica M mount, would be a good choice for the techart adapter, it is called the FE plus version), TT Artisans 35 f/2 APO, 7 Artisans 35 f/2 Wen (makes sure you get the Wen version), LLL 50 f/2 SP II, Thypoch 75 f/1.4, LLL 75 f/2 SP II, Leica M 75 f/2.4, Zeiss ZM 85 f/4, Leica M 90 f/2 Pre-AA, MS-Optics 135 f/2.4 Aporis, Leica M 135 f/3.5 APO, Leica M 135 f/4 Tele-Elmar
Keep in mind these lenses just perform the same (or similarly) on a Leica M camera and a Sony camera. That doesn't mean they perform well on Sony. Some of them are somewhat weak performers on Leica M too, but those tend to be inexpensive.
