Nice shots. In the last one, it didn't focus on the eyes. Sometimes I see the same problem, not with that particular lens but with others. Shouldn't I expect this kind of thing not happening on Sony?
That was a shot taken with the iPhone app, which tends to miss critical focus more than shooting AF-C with eyeAF due to shutter lag with the app. Still pretty darn close for a self portrait at 1.8

I've owned the Canon 85 1.4 and the Nikon 1.4 but always seemed to enjoy the 1.8 versions. They're cheaper, smaller, quick at focusing and tend to even be sharper*. The Sony 85 1.8 will probably be one of my first purchases.
*I'd also add accurate when compared to 1.4 and faster versions.
Used my Sony for the 2nd time. Didn't like it that much. To me I liked my Canon 85mm f1.2. Next time, I will see if I can try the 85L with the MC-11 adapter. I thought this lens had very good AF but I had some eye-AF issues which disappeared when I swapped it with my Sigma 105mm f1.4.
