Any opinions on this lens in 2021? It seems like some people like it even better for video than the GM
When I bought FE85 a long time ago (I have switched twice since), there was not much choice. I think the expensive Batis, the faster (but AF slower ) GM and the large & heavy Sigma.
Now the situation is completely different, so you really can match the lens to your particular usecase, as there are smaller, cheaper, faster, ... alternatives.
I've been taking this lens out lately since I wanted some reach and while I can definitely tell the difference between this lens and other higher end primes (i.e. 50 1.4za) the AF is really good and it is small. I've actually had fun taking it out.
Just picked up this lens from someone selling through another platform. Took some test shots on the way home. As luck would have it, while we had the the wettest recorded fall in over 100 years, we've had a nice sunset this evening. Came out decent I think
