Congratulations to eyelaser for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 3 votes - View Previous Winners
I just returned from the Pantanal with my great friend Don Gutoski....we had a fabulous time and managed to see and photograph virtually everything we had hoped to see including giant anteater, tapirs, giant river otters, ocelot and of course jaguars. There were a few surprises as well which I included. All the jags and otters were shot from a boat and of course I have limited the number of jaguar shots as there are many. Rather than do multiple posts I decided to put a pretty good sample of what we saw in one thread....hope you enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving.
16, 19, 21....blew me away....and that was after being blown away by all the others.
And because these are so, so good I'm going to criticize #4 for that bright bokeh 1/2 bird that sort of messes up the shot.
Without question, an amazing collection and such variety...YGMV.

Thanks Geoff and I agree 100% about #4...I went back and forth as to whether to include it and I guess it wasn't the right choice. Who knows, maybe it will disappear like magic at some point.
Eric
Every one of these is wonderful in its own special way. Rather than pick one or two favorites, I'll pick them all. And by the way, if I can see into the future, it looks to me like you're headed for your 17th "Featured Thread" win. YGMV!!
3, 7, 12. Those are my fave from this wonderful set. What a great time you must have had getting these images. I also really like the capabara/ani image. Their physical build seems to mirror each other. Super stuff, Eric.

I wouldn't be opposed to some PS magic to get rid of that heron?. I do love the low angle of that shot. Do you have any where the rump hid the bird?
Sometimes I get lost in long posts and don't see images that keep my interest as I scroll along, Eric this is an outstanding set of quality images. You have some masterful exposures and some very pleasing to the eye presentations, all of great quality.
I'm catching these at work on a little laptop so I will thoroughly enjoy them later at home on the big screen Your processing is just wonderful, I can tell you took time and pride in each image and you have certainly earned my vote
Say hello to Don for me too please.......
Karl
After reviewing on the 'big screen' I concur with my first observations The cat shots are giving me goosebumps buddy, Harry Potter critter is sweet and on and on and on .................All in a good way my friend, outrageous!!
If I could vote twice I would, I tried it's not an option
